I was never happy with D&D's official designs for the kraken, which was either a) big angry octopus, b) big angry squid, or c) fish dragon with a noodle beard. So I just did my own design, and incorporated every cephalopod bell and whistle I could.

Cuttlefish orientation, a small forest of arms, 3 giant squid tentacles, blanket octopus webs along the sides of the mantle, vampire squid wings, segmented armor pieces along its dorsal side that allow it to roll up and slumber like a nautilus on the sea floor.

Quick redesign of the Sahuagin for the Saltmarsh campaign I'm running, NBD

A lot of people get their history wrong when it comes to the Salem witch trials. They weren't actually criminal trials, but "trials" for efficacy, spells, potions, etc. Auditions, really, plus informal interviews. Ultimately it was to determine which witch would be awarded a municipal contract.
