There's a little bit of info on that unfinished project here, nothing playable. I made a map editor, had story ideas, made some character art. Looks like hatariB is now available through the RetroArch core downloader! Might need to go to Online Updater > Update Core Info Files first? Anyway, my Atari ST emulator core adaptation is now ready for widespread use! Hopefully this makes exploring the ST library a little easier.

Got 10 seeds from the first 3 carolina reapers that grew, after that I think the jalapeño was blooming so this is all I've got. Many more reapers on the old plant, a bunch of small jalapeños not yet ripe, and the new reaper plant is just starting to flower. 🌶️🌱

I haven't really used my Wii U much since I got a tablet, which is better at everything I was using the jailbroken Wii U for, but it's nice to see the old device getting some maintenance. Unfortunately Retroarch hasn't migrated to Aroma officially yet, but there are still ways to run it.

It's been a while since I looked at the Wii U jailbreak situation, but apparently it's had a major overhaul with a new "Aroma" framework that feels a bit more natural than before. Also, there is Trogdor here now. 🏚🔥🐉

Today marks the 16th anniversary of L'Abbaye des Morts. And we're working on an update! It was a small side project that @gryzor87.bsky.social and I made in the afternoons during a week-long trip to France. We released it in the void, but somehow it became a classic within the homebrew scene.

Yesterday our car was nearly out of gas. While I pointed at the open gas station visible down the road, another passenger insisted on asking google, which led us to a closed station several KM away. Apparently "nearest gas station" in google search doesn't redirect to maps, it just makes up stuff.

My first attempt at making vindaloo, and it's turned out beautifully. Tangy, spicy, savoury. I don't like onions so I pan-roasted some carrots instead. Pork, with a little bit of potato. One of my carolina reapers was enough to make it very spicy indeed. 🌶️🥔🍛

Like, really the main reason I implemented them for Steam is the very weak sort of anti-piracy it represents. But, like, there are so many non-obvious things I want to allow someone to feel clever for discovering, and it's really undermined by someone hanging an achievement on them.

It's also weird having made an NES game, and making some VERY deliberate choices about the Steam achievements for its official release... and then the RetroAchievements implementer just puts in whatever they feel like. 😿 I don't want to be mad at an interested fan, but... I just try to look away.

My favourite stool, salvaged from my dad's classroom many years ago. It had taken some water damage and the seat was splitting apart, so I've tried to restore it back to the condition of being a comfortable place to sit.

Thursday was a hot day, but it rained hard in the late afternoon and after the weather was nice enough for a bike ride. Along the lakeshore I encountered a few short waves of thick cooling fog, it was like riding through a freezer. Have never experienced that before.

Second attempt at crab rangoon. This time I brushed them with lard and then baked them instead of frying. Still addictively tasty, but without feeling too extremely rich in fat.
