If the bombers are attacking Iran, and Iranians are trying to attack the bombers, how can that be terrorism? Surely that's just two sides fighting in a war. Terrorism is about trying to terrorise people by killing civilians - such as school girls.

Where's the money coming from then John? So sick of politicians demanding 'more, more, more' without acknowledging the fact that it has to be paid for. So tell us, where is the money coming from?

Scotland and Wales don't want independence. Not sure N.I. wants to leave the UK and become part of Ireland either.

Building consensus with a rules-based order is the long term goal, but unfortunately the immediate situation is beyond that and needs addressing immediately. We need to open up the sea lanes to keep the world working. In the medium term we need to de-fossil-fuel as quickly as possible.

Mike there was a vote. Scotland decided it wanted to stay where it was. Another vote would probably get the same result. Even if it didn't, the margin would still be tiny, much like Brexit, meaning a massive division created in society. That wouldn't be good for Scotland either.

The issue is though, the Houthis aren't any better, in fact they're worse. And the Houthis actions are effecting our lives here in the UK. So do we just sit and do nothing?

Hmmm. Car culture has made much of California an urban dystopia. Giant, endless freeways, vast sprawling suburbs, low social cohesion, poor public transportation and terrible active travel options. California could be so much better if they embraced European style city design.

So, a criminally convicted billionaire money launderer bought himself a pardon from a criminally convicted fraudster president for $10m. Now he thinks he can buy the oldest democracy in the world for £36m. If the UK's democracy is to survive we need a public inquiry into party funding NOW

Reform officials ‘plotted to break law on foreign donations’ in undercover film
Investigation broadcast by Channel 4 shows man posing as ‘impermissible donor’ paying for polling that helped Reform Nigel Farage is facing fresh criticism on the eve of the Reform UK party conference after some of his team were filmed appearing to plot to avoid electoral laws on foreign donations in an undercover investigation broadcast by Channel 4. A group of investigative journalists called Verbatim, funded by the Centre for Climate Reporting, posed as a potential Reform supporter and his wealthy American father, an impermissible donor, who paid for £30,000 of polling commissioned by Reform and which benefited the party. This is a first rate investigation of Reform’s dodgy dealings by C4 News. Would be good if other broadcasters did similar.

“Dutch people cycle an average of 2.6km each per day. If this pattern was replicated worldwide, annual carbon emissions would drop by 686 million tonnes. This mammoth figure exceeds the entire carbon footprint of most countries, including the UK, Canada, Saudi Arabia and Australia.” @euronews.com

Cycling like the Dutch would slash the world’s carbon footprint
If everybody cycled like the Dutch, we could offset the UK or Australia’s entire carbon footprint.

Ontarí'io, which means "lake of shining waters", comes from the Huron-Wendat nation. It is the name of the natives gave the area. Canada adopted it from them Ontario is not a English word to erase Lake Ontario’s name is to again erase more native history AGAIN 🙄🙄🙄

This is great. Of course, the ultimate zero emission transport is walking. If people can't walk to local amenities, if suburbs are built with well connected side walks and crossings, then people are trapped and forced to use cars.
