Uh. So apparently if you put in the screws back in the wrong holes you can screw up the traces :(

Note that some of the 2600 consoles had (very slightly) different lengths of screws, and putting them in wrong would tear up the traces on the board.

The article you linked mentions "two sizes of self-tapping screw". Self-tapping screws were only used in the consoles with six switches on the front, from the first two production runs. The issue was resolved by the time those with four front switches were made, like the one used for illustration of this article.

I tried AGS back when I was on windows. Now on Mac, I decided to make my own AGS-inspired adventure game library on top of Godot. Many years ago I made an adv game in Flash but it is lost to time. It was called Burpy Boy and you had to rescue your pet hamster who got lost in a traveling circus

Help! The aspect ratio on arcpaint64 is different from what VICE or my #c64 shows. Meaning I end up with super long characters when I see it in the end =( Left image is Arcpaint and VICE. Right image is my actual c64
