My first ever attempt at a rainbow roll gradient linocut print. #art | #linocut | #linoprint | #printmaking | #flowers

A rainbow gradient inked linocut print on kozo mulberry paper depicting an image of a lotus flower covering the majority of the lower third of the image, above the petals, and in the center of the print is a symbol of taijitu (yin-yang), and the upper third is a relatively solid inked space with an irregular bottom border. All 4 sides of the print feature a solid rectangular border of around one third of an inch.

I have finally been freed from the clutches of the big sad that sapped all my motivation to art into the void, so I can now present Squeed my newest lino block. I was inspired by HP Lovecraft may he rest in piss for being a racist, but his work in cosmic horror has been inspirational for me.

A linoleum block carved with the image of a squid-like creature featuring 5 arms and 2 spade pointed tentacles, the body of the creature is carved with lines that give a textural difference. The creature is surrounded by 5 small round objects similar to bubbles, and the whitespace on the block surrounding the creature has small wave-like patterns
