The asymmetric limbs of HD 209458 b observed with JWST NIRCam F322W2/F444W
We present a reanalysis of JWST NIRCam F322W2/F444W transit observations of the hot Jupiter HD 209458 b to extract morning and evening transmission spectra. To determine whether asymmetries in the tra...

Bottom: text describing the BOWIE+ Collaboration: "We are a UK based collaboration with a focus on studying the atmospheres of exoplanets using the James Webb Space Telescope. We work together to create proposals for JWST GO time, holding both in-person and virtual collaborative meetings. I am INCREDIBLY lucky to get to be an astronomer as my day job - and if it has taught me anything, it is that 99.99999999999% of our Universe is an inhospitable shithole. This blue speck in a sea of darkness is the only place we have, and we should really start treating it like that.
a pic of the Earth, I think from NASA's DSCOVR satellite

literally the only habitable place we know of in the universe
