I finished Persona 3 Reload! Oh my god I could talk about this game and this story forever honestly. Usually I wait to fully let a game's story and themes sink in until the end, but this one just hit me from like, the 2nd month. Finishing it felt different from other games ive finished too, better?

I've been playing through Halo, chronologically, starting with Reach. The bungie era of Halo had a special way of telling their story and mythos that is miles above pretty much any shooter story now (ignoring Halo 3) and for the time was only beat by Spec Ops: The Line for me

With more outfits and better pics to come... #ffxiv I've had some time to recover from clearing DSR, as well as the tier. And after discussing it with my static it seems I will be switching jobs. I'm right at home as a healer and won't be moving far, but for FRU and 7.4, my job will be White Mage!

Final thoughts for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. 10/10. There are people saying this game is the Final Fantasy that Square will never give us and they're probably right. My vote for GOTY so far. I have some mechanical nitpicks and problems. But nothing that actively annoyed me super hard. I LOVE it.

Clair Obscur thoughts. The voice cast in this game is some top notch talent. Very impressed. I love how strategic combat both feels and demands of me. It's been awhile since I've played a game this hard that I have to onteract with the mechanics this much. That's not even including dodging/parrying.

Alright. First session done. I don't have too much more to say that's not about the plot twists of the first couple hours of the game. The FF inspiration is very much there. I've already noticed references, intentional or otherwise to FF16, FF15, and A LOT of FF10. There's more games too I noticed.

So some JRPG lore: There was originally an abandoned plotline for FFX where no one would survive past the age of 17. The couple, Tidus and Yuna, or originally a dark-haired Tida and Yuna at the time, were to set forth on a grand adventure to stop it. This adventure would've started in Zanarkand.

This game is super pretty and the battle system rocks. Seriously, could not have asked for a better turn based system. It's the best of FFX, P5R, and Paper Mario (yes really). If I were to design a turn based RPG of this calibre this is the way I wouldve done it so far

Immediate thing, haven't even played the game yet - this is such an awesome win for the game dev community as a whole. This is practically a AAA game without as much of the corporate BS. As a game dev, that makes me happy.
