I keep wondering what the next 4 years will bring. Like most who found their way to #Bluesky, I’m concerned to say the least. But I’m choosing to look at it through a lens of opportunity and personal responsibility to be a source of light in the darkness vs being a victim to the inevitable chaos.

I have a tendency to store away quotes that speak to me. And over the past week, this one kept creeping up in my subconscious. Regardless of how you feel about the recent election, life does in fact go on. And those of us who wish for better, must do better to act as a light to others. #politics

It seems that I might have made the right choice finally moving from X to Bluesky. Even after a solid 15 minutes of scrolling, I’ve yet to encounter even one conspiracy theory, false-Alpha rant, or lunatic trying to sell me golden sneakers & autographed bibles. Just well-meaning, interesting posts 🤔

After escaping the asylum once called Twitter, I have found a new online home here. My Bluesky account is literally 5 minutes old, & I’m already feeling a sense of belonging amongst people of good intentions, strong intellect, and common interest. It’s a wonderful reminder that civility isn’t dead.
