Weird sync ups happening with the wahs and abs, clocks both hit 30:15 at the same time, both got penalties at the same time, and both got tries scored against them at the same time.

Evening commute
A railway station platform in bright late-afternoon sunlight. A cream station building with red trim stands on the right, while the photographer's long shadow stretches dramatically across the freshly paved platform. Yellow tactile paving lines the platform edge, with trees, power lines, and a cloudless blue sky in the background.

Semi related to the last post

A wider shot of a wooden park bench covered in handwritten black marker messages. On the left side, the text says: “CAN’T AFFORD RENT? YOU SHOULD LIVE IN A BETTER SYSTEM.” On the right side, additional slats read: “ARE YOU SICK? MAYBE IT’S CAPITALISM.” The bench sits on a pebble-textured ground, with part of a plastic bag visible on the right. Sunlight highlights the wood grain and shadows fall across the scene.

The fake albums at IKEA are actually kinda awesome and i kinda want them on my wall
An ikea store display shows six decorative vinyl record covers on two black wall shelves. The top row features a blue-and-white cover labeled “Quality Vinyl Mockup” with a silhouette of a person holding a record, an orange album titled “Shoegazer,” and a pink-and-purple abstract cover with a distorted digital design. The bottom row includes an orange-and-blue translucent vinyl in a sleeve marked “Movement,” another album with wavy holographic-style artwork, and a turquoise cover with repeated text reading “High Quality Vinyl Mockup.” A warm yellow wall lamp glows on the left, while a framed abstract artwork hangs to the right. A metal storage box and headphones sit on the wooden desk below.

The Clap your hands say yeah, gig was pretty great last night. Not pictured, me the photographer, also a bald white dude.
A crowd of people watches a live band performing on stage in a dimly lit venue with purple and blue stage lighting. The musicians are illuminated at the front, one playing guitar and singing into a microphone. The audience stands closely packed, with several bald heads visible in the foreground. A neon-style sign with partially readable text glows behind the band, adding to the lively concert atmosphere.

Rad
A close-up photo taken at an outdoor location, likely a train station. In the foreground, a person wearing a brown jacket with a gray backpack strap is giving a thumbs-up gesture. The sleeve of the jacket has reddish marks that look like paint smudges. To the left, a wall with a red beam and a yellow warning sign that reads “Warning Live Wires” is visible, but there is no wet paint sign despite the fresh-looking paint marks. In the background, part of a roof structure and a train can be seen.

This is not a still life. This is a quiet scream. A lowercase protest in a world of concrete certainty. An altar, accidental or intentional, to the things we consume and then forget. The corner becomes a frame. The milk, a metaphor. Plant-based. Rootless. Alone.
Title: “No Ordinary Offering”
Medium: Digital Photography
Artist Statement – 1st Year Submission

---

In a forgotten corner of concrete sterility, beneath the hum of fluorescent neglect, a single carton of oat milk stands like a relic in a temple that was never built. The object, branded “No Ordinary Oat Milk,” becomes a statement far beyond plant-based sustenance. It is defiance. It is absurdity. It is misplaced hope.

Shot with harsh flash, the shadows exaggerate the geometry of decay—the rigid lines of the cold, stained cinderblock walls juxtaposed with the fragile, consumer-packaged softness of late-stage capitalism. Why is it there? Who left it? Is it trash, or tribute?

This is not a still life. This is a quiet scream.
A lowercase protest in a world of concrete certainty.
An altar, accidental or intentional, to the things we consume and then forget.

The corner becomes a frame. The milk, a metaphor.
Plant-based. Rootless. Alone.

Really cool gig. KOMMI was great, with excellent hat game. Korereo Maori is such a fun song, and pretty cool to see it up on stage with performers. I also loved the mariachi style of Whakameatia Mai. Very cool night.

A stack of vinyl records in a crate, with the front cover prominently displaying an album titled AUSTRALIAN STYLE. The cover features a rustic wagon in the background and in the foreground, a sunburnt man in a singlet labeled "Damo", holding a can of VB (Victoria Bitter) beer and smoking ciggie.

Enough photos of massive dorks doing offensive hand gestures and more photos of cats sitting in things
The photo shows a fluffy cat with a serious expression sitting inside a bright turquoise laundry basket. The basket is placed on a carpeted floor, surrounded by potted plants and furniture, creating a cozy indoor scene. The cat is peeking out from the basket, with its head visible above the rim.

I did the grocery shopping the other day, I think I was pretty restrained.
A grocery store conveyor belt with fresh produce, including green onions, parsley, lemons, onions and a cucumber placed suspiciously, bananas, garlic, potatoes, and a container of blueberries. Behind the belt, snack packs like macadamias and cashews are displayed on hooks with digital price tags.

Fighting the intrusive thoughts to not fire up a game of Guns and Roses pinball during this intimate 50 person folk gig.
The photo shows a "Guns N' Roses"-themed pinball machine in a dimly lit setting. The machine features a decorative design on its side panel, showcasing a silver revolver intertwined with green vines and red roses, staying true to the band's iconic imagery. A lampshade on the left side illuminates part of the machine, highlighting details of the artwork. In the darker background, silhouettes of people suggest an event or gathering taking place. The atmosphere is moody and thematic, matching the edgy rock aesthetic of the pinball machine.

Perfect comedy. No notes. Everyone go home.
The image shows a classic arcade machine featuring the marquee for "Street Fighter II," with vibrant artwork of iconic characters Ryu and Ken. The game's title is prominently displayed with bold letters and a lightning effect. Notably, Ryu's eyes have been humorously altered with googly eyes, giving him a quirky and comedic appearance compared to his usual serious demeanor. Below the marquee, part of the control panel with character move sets is visible. The arcade machine shows signs of wear, including visible graffiti, suggesting it has been frequently used over time.

Day 24 of the Beer Jerk Advent Calendar. Last one and it's a banger. Belgian Sparkling Ale from Australian brewery Fontaine. Very crisp and bubbly kind of like a champagne pilsner. Probably the worst pour I've ever done too. First attempt like 5/6ths head. Perfect for a 28°C afternoon. #brewsky

Good morning out fishing. Has anyone thought to make a fishing mini game for their video game?
The photo shows the back of a small motorboat traveling on the water, leaving a wake behind it. Two fishing rods are mounted at the rear of the boat, extending upward into the blue sky filled with scattered clouds. A red cooler and other equipment are visible on the boat's deck. In the background, there is a small grassy island with rocky features, surrounded by water dotted with colorful buoys. The scene is bright and sunny, creating a peaceful atmosphere.

Day 19 of the Beer Jerk Advent Calendar. Weissbier Dunkel, dark wheat beer from Paulaner, a Munich based brewery. Plenty of malty, bready sweetness, heaps of carbonation. I'm fan of this style of beer for sure. Novelty to me is drinking a beer from a brewery that's been going since 1643. #brewsky

Day 17 of the Beer Jerk Advent Calendar Modus Hazy,(no surprises) hazy IPA from NSW Modus Brewery. Not much to say about this one, just another hazy. Not even that strong on the juicy tropical notes. Nothing bad about it, it went down really easy. Might just be getting picky after 17 days. #brewsky
A sandwich with visible Burger, lettuce, tomato, onion, and mustard sits on a plate on a wooden desk. Beside it is a frosty glass of hazy beer, nearly full, with condensation visible. To the right of the glass is a can of Modus Hazy beer with colorful branding and text describing its "fresh, hazy, juicy" taste. In the background, a small cactus in a white pot, a photo frame showing a cat, and office items like a printer and yellow desk lamp are visible. Day 13 of the beer jerk advent calendar. Pedal or Die, IPA from Wānaka brewery, b.effect. Nothing flashy, just a solid IPA, perfect Friday evening beer. Definitely in the dangerous category, kind of beer I would try at the pub and then keep going back for before realizing it's a 6.2% #Brewsky
A can of b.effect Brewing Co. beer, labeled "Pedal or Die IPA," sits on a wooden table next to a glass mug filled with a golden, frothy beer.
