I grew up in the USSR when our leaders were going into the semi-vegetative state. I vividly remember the mix of cringe, pity and contempt when I saw old Brezhnev or Chernenko. Why did they torture this sick old man with public appearances? Now I look at Mitch and feel the same

Let me get it straight. We print portraits of dead presidents (now mostly electronically). It costs us nothing to print them, only we can do it, and the only limitation is that we do not want to devalue them. 1/2

Bo French's tweet reminds me of the events happened 20 years ago in Virginia. When one unfortunate word changed history. At that time Virginia voted R in presidential elections since 1968 (even since 1952 with one exception for the landslide defeat of Goldwater in 1964) 1/7

My political views are quite opposite to those of Giorgia Meloni. Nevertheless I cannot help noticing this. Trump boasted about powerful people kissing his ass: MBS, Zuckerberg, Bezos. And they all decided to eat the insult. It took a strong woman to tell Trump to stuff it.

The majestic Reflecting Pool is covered by slime after Trump's renovation. The apologists say, it is due to algae dormant in the old pipes. I do not know whether it is true, but what a perfect metaphor! All the rot dormant in our system is now in full bloom.

Not being a Christian, I do not have an opinion whether LDS are Christians. However, I do have an opinion about the reclassification. It looks like it was done in an amateurish manner, without consulting specialists & communities or understanding the consequences.
