The colour of the screen is definitely giving 1989 Game Boy energy 😊

Borealis Games @borealisgames.bsky.social · 25/08/2026

As for one of mine, since you mentioned survival, I'll go with True Colours, an innocent dating sim on the surface that turns dark midway and reveals YOU as the villain! If you can survive the death traps, you get a chance for redemption 😁

Borealis Games @borealisgames.bsky.social · 25/08/2026

That's okay - I'm not working on any big games atm either, just a lil game jam piece. I love VNs with horror elements! What's your game premise?

000

Borealis Games @borealisgames.bsky.social · 24/08/2026

Love any VN that incorporates music as a big part of the plot line! 🥰 I've done the same myself.

011

Borealis Games @borealisgames.bsky.social · 24/08/2026

Love this sentiment and always happy to expand my circle! I've been a solo dev for 7 years, making VNs that either carry a positive message or just straight up screw with your expectations 😁 you can see my stuff here: borealisgames.carrd.co#Games Also tell me about what you're developing! 😊

"Indies will save us" No! YOU WILL SAVE INDIES! Go leave a review for that neat indie game you like, share the trailer for an upcoming game you're anticipating, tell your fave developer they did a good job, go tell people about such and such game that's just come out, you can make a difference!

Sorry, didn't get a notif for your reply - I appreciate you too! I hope that if you do play more, you can enjoy the rewarding payoff of the routes' redemption arcs. They are heavy, but the struggle makes the victory all that more sweet. Also, just thank you for being lovely about indie games 💜

020

Borealis Games @borealisgames.bsky.social · 09/02/2026

I intended for this game to be an exploration of how it's never too late to change/improve, that everyone is valid, and that second chances can genuinely pay off. Whatever you decide, I'm so appreciative that you enjoyed even one of my games. Thank you 💜

110

Borealis Games @borealisgames.bsky.social · 09/02/2026

I really appreciate everything you said. You'd be just as valid to NOT continue if it feels best. Several players said that they didn't feel comfortable with the twist, and I respect that. The twist reveal is the most intense dark moment, and the redemption arcs are heartwarming.
