And it was compounded by the fact I found out the showrunner was the same one who did the first 5 seasons of Supernatural. A writer who mastered killing women off and having mundane finales. The pacing is brisk, the twists and turns keep coming, and it's actually the optional character arcs that slow things down. (Whereas in the original, it was the setup) 020
