@doghead.bsky.social Hey so sorry for tagging you like this, but Will bought a suit from my boyfriend a while back but we haven't been able to get in touch with him. If there's any way you can give him my info and let him know we're trying to get in contact that would be nice. Thank you!

Working on making a paper mache Diplocalus to donate to a local museum. Working on getting a lot of things in my life together too. Tension at home due to my dad is spiking again, I'm doing my best not to pull back and regress too much.

Weird that we have to say this, but the government doesn’t get to decide what gender a person is.

Did you know alligator snapping turtles were almost eaten to extinction? It was so commonplace to eat them that even Campbells used to make soup with them! They're an example of why the Endangered Species Act is SO important, without it we may not have had these turtles alongside us today!

Elon Musk didn't come to the US on a H1B visa. He came on a J-1 student visa, failed to get a work visa, and worked in the country illegally. He claims to have later gotten a H1B visa without providing any proof. Like Melania Trump, he used money to make his history of illegal immigration go away.

Which makes their removal necessary. Its stupid enough that people seek out these procedures in the first place, and professionals need to stop assisting them in achieving it.

If you're a vet who performs surgeries to alter wild animals so that they're "safe as pets" you should lose your licence full stop. Removal of venom glands, defanging, declawing, scent gland removals ect ect should NEVER be done. Ofc unless an animal has an infection or medical condition-

Wolf reintroduction! I know it’s an unpopular opinion, especially being a rancher, but wolf reintroduction in Colorado and why it’s good, a thread 🧵 Wolf reintroduction has a verity of benefits for the ecosystem & environment. It’s important to care!

They're one of the species that trucked through the Permian-Triassic extinction. They're stem-mammals, and closely related to our ancestors from that period of time.

A keeper I know in Canada made a really comprehensive post Abt it on FB. She compared her hognose, which get frogs in their diets, to other people's who are rodent only/autopsy's of such snakes. I think they're somewhat prone to fatty liver disease and get way larger fat deposits then the wild hogs

Boreal @borealbones.bsky.social · 09/12/2024

Honestly a lot of people consider a snakes natural diet "optional" when it shouldn't be. There's not a single wild snake that eats lab rats for every single meal, I don't think we should rely on them as a staple feeder as much as we do tbh

110

Boreal @borealbones.bsky.social · 09/12/2024

The biggest thing with hognose is that they tend to eat a LOT of amphibians in the wild and it's extremely beneficial to replicate this. We have some sources for frog feeders in the states but I'd try to find some near you before getting one!
