Just been educated about the new “Single Malt” law in England that there’s has been a bit of noise about. Been hearing they’re the same as Scotland and Ireland. Turns out that’s not true and the guidelines in Scotland and Ireland are far more difficult to meet. Who saw that coming 🙄

Will never forget being at the house in Perigord a few years ago and wondering what this falling ‘stuff’ that looked like snow was. Only watching the news, realised it was ash from a forest fire many miles away. Truly terrifying. Hope you’re all safe and sound in St Jean D’A.

Ok, last rugby rant until the next one. I’ve seen some posts about the great success of Scotland u20s posting Nucifora’s face.  The average age of the u20s players is about 19. He joined the SRU less than 2 years ago. There is NO FECKING CHANCE his influence had anything to do with that success.

It really does… But accent is interesting. I speak decent French and a (basic) Asian language. Accent is everything for pronunciation in a foreign language. If you don’t change the accent you sound like you’re just “saying the words” in English. It’s a conundrum but, for me, he’s getting it right.

So, I have a large and very busy wasps nest in the external wall of my house, beside my bedroom window. I have some nest killing powder, a ladder and an incontrollable, irrational phobia. Many moons ago, I got in a similar spiral, for reasons I won’t bore you with. Calling the Doc was one of the most difficult “man the fuck up and make the call” things that I’ve ever done. And absolutely worth it. Helped me more than I can say. Happy for a DM if you want to chat through it.

These reviews are mostly nonsense. One prominent rugby website last week said that Zander F was introduced at the right time to make an impact and did well from his time off the bench. He came on at 17 minutes when the starting TH was injured! It’s almost like they don’t even watch the games…
