Scottish_Borders 🏴 @border304.bsky.social · 2hI went fixed rate when Iran kicked off. It might be that for me come January though. But I still think living wage is the best way to address energy being expensive (which is relative). My council tax is more expensive than my energy bills. 110
Scottish_Borders 🏴 @border304.bsky.social · 2hSure but is the issue not that a relatively small sum is meaningful to many? My weekly food shop was £95 this week. For one. Granted higher than usual. But still. People need to be on a living wage. That's what we should be fighting for imo. Wealth tax or guillotines. We're one eat cake comment away 010
Reposted by Scottish_Borders 🏴John Swinney @johnswinney.bsky.social · 13hThe UK's state pension is not generous compared to others in Europe. Older people relying on the state pension have to get by on barely over £1000 a month. Andy Burnham’s plans to end the triple lock are unacceptable, morally wrong and the SNP will stand against them. 52232102

Scottish_Borders 🏴 @border304.bsky.social · 3hApprove of the message. But giving the Nazi platform extra reach is a fail. Sorry. 000
Scottish_Borders 🏴 @border304.bsky.social · 3hRegenerate. So I'd suggest regrowing lost limbs not gaining extra ones. I guess that would be just generate. I wonder if there are any creatures which can grow extra appendages? That would be cool. Handy for PC gaming. 110
Scottish_Borders 🏴 @border304.bsky.social · 3hIt's a total non issue. What we need is a living wage. 000
Scottish_Borders 🏴 @border304.bsky.social · 3hI struggle with constantly hearing about energy bills. How much are you paying per month for gas and electricity? I'm paying less than £100. 100
Scottish_Borders 🏴 @border304.bsky.social · 3hAnd we can't work with China either. Our grid needs solid state batteries. 000

Scottish_Borders 🏴 @border304.bsky.social · 04/10/2026The fact that energy bills are constantly in the news is disgusting. My gas and electricity is £100 per month. Thankfully that means nothing to me. But then I've no kids. And no mortgage. 010

Scottish_Borders 🏴 @border304.bsky.social · 04/10/2026The feedback I've had from colleagues on the median wage is that they feel that they can't afford a house or to have kids. Doesn't sound middle class to me. 120

Scottish_Borders 🏴 @border304.bsky.social · 03/10/2026No, but as a student of history, we need to do something. The Social Contract is broken. The working class are screwed. The middle class is next.
