on a personal level for me i think it’s the point ! but also these “scales” are overinflated and diluted maybe ? i definitely don’t actually have 3000 people who are genuinely interested in what I’m up to

not sure about the discord one though I find you’ve got to be so intensely online to keep up to date with an active one and the inactive ones are so dry

I feel like the newsletter thing (having sent out one lol) is much better for a smaller but more interested audience. A couple of the 86 people I emailed bought tunes of mine/messaged back about stuff in comparison to firing something off on ig to “3000” people none of whom meaningfully respond
