It's a preference thing for sure. I had an aunt who would come to visit and wouldn't be able to sleep with the window open because of the city noise. But I swear when I visited her the crickets and critters were even louder than the traffic noise at our house...except for the motorcycles...LOL.

My commute is 1hr each way and my two cents is that I probably can't sustain it much longer if gas goes over $6-$7/gallon. 🙃 (Buuut I don't want to live by this job, either...)

Oh...different folks have different definitions of BFE is what I meant. For some ppl a 15 minute commute is long. In CA it is not uncommon for folks with SF/Bay-based jobs to live where housing is affordable, sometimes commuting 1.5-2hrs each way, and/or working a hybrid WFH schedule.
