Statistics can now write a recap of your reading year. It uses Apple Intelligence, and if you would rather it did not exist, one switch in Settings turns all of it off.

100

You can also take everything out. A book, your library, your quotes, your notes, all of it exports to PDF whenever you want. An app that is hard to leave is not loyal. It is locked.

100

Importing from another app has been rebuilt from scratch. You pick the file your old app gave you, and before anything is written you see it row by row: what is coming in, what looks like a book you already have, what stays out.

An honest ask from an indie dev. App Store rankings are a brutal game for small apps. If Book Tracker has been part of your reading life, two things make a real difference: leaving a review on the App Store, and telling a friend who reads.

No need to grab your phone every time. Just open the app on your Watch and keep reading. As always, everything stays private and synced through your Apple devices. This update is available now. Let me know what you think ! apps.apple.com/us/app/book-...

A new Book Tracker bug-fix update is out. This release mainly improves barcode scanning, with better stability and more reliable results, especially in low-light conditions. If you were experiencing issues before, let me know if it works better now on your device.

January reading wrap up 📚 How did your January reading go? How many books did you finish and what was your favorite one?

Book Tracker was first released over six years ago. At the end of December 2025, it officially turned six. In these years, the app has evolved enormously thanks to your feedback and support. This is just the first of many updates coming this year. Thank you for being part of the journey. Simone

020

This update also includes several refinements across the app: • Better online search results for books and covers • Ability to change a book’s length or convert the tracking type Plus bug fixes related to statistics widgets, reading streaks, and general stability.

The Reading Calendar has received a much requested improvement. If you read more than one book on the same day, the calendar now shows multiple covers instead of just one. A clearer and more accurate way to visualize your reading history.

220

When reading a book, Book Tracker now shows an estimated completion date. A small but highly requested feature that helps you stay motivated and better plan your reading time.

210

You can now select historical, no longer in use currencies when entering a book’s purchase price. Italian lira, German mark, and many others are now available, perfect for older books and long time collections.

100

The camera barcode scanning screen has been rebuilt from the ground up. Scanning and focus are now much faster, and multiple barcode scanning is now available on Mac and on older iPhone and iPad models too. Adding books has never been smoother.

100

You can now fully personalize the Home on iPhone and the Sidebar on iPad and Mac. Add new cards at the top and choose what matters most to you: tags, smart lists, series, reading statuses, and more. Just tap Edit and make Book Tracker truly yours.

Book Tracker grows thanks to word of mouth. If you like the app, recommending it to a friend or leaving a review is the best way to support it. It means a lot, especially in these days.

Merry Christmas! Thank you for choosing Book Tracker to keep your reading life organized, calm, and private. We hope these days give you time to slow down, unplug, and enjoy a good book. See you between the pages.

If you share books, your memory is not enough. Book Tracker gives you a list for books you lend out and a list for books you borrow. You can see in a second which books are away and which ones you should return. What is the last book you lost track of after lending or borrowing it? #BookTrackerApp

I often receive App Store reviews complaining that my apps are paid while there are “many free alternatives”. It is fair feedback, and it always makes me stop and think. Is my message not clear enough, or do people simply not care.

Before heading to the bookstore for your holiday shopping, check your Wishlist in Book Tracker. Having your "To-Buy" list organized prevents purchasing duplicates and helps you manage your budget. A simple tool for a busy shopping season.

If your reading log right now is, a notes app, a spreadsheet or a pile of screenshots, Book Tracker gives you one clean place for your library, ratings, stats, and a private Year In Review, on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Search Book Tracker on the App Store if that sounds like something you need.

Soft December reminder. When you open Book Tracker and see your stats, it is easy to focus on how many books you did not finish. Try this instead: Ask yourself how reading helped you through this year. Reply with a word or a short sentence that fits your 2025 reading mood.

Book Tracker v4.3.11 is now available. Year in Review has been expanded with more detailed insights into your reading year. Books, pages, audiobooks, reading time, and purchases, all with clearer breakdowns. Privacy first, always.

I love good book recommendations. I just do not think they should come from the same system that is trying to keep you glued to a screen. That is why Book Tracker has no “You might also like” section. The app is more like a mirror for your reading life than a guide.

000

Book Tracker @booktracker.bsky.social · 09/12/2025

Book Tracker will never ask: “Are you still there?” If you are not reading, it is perfectly fine for the app to sit in a quiet corner of your home screen and do nothing. No feed to check. No drama to follow. No new thing to refresh. Just a place to track your books when you feel like it.

Book Tracker @booktracker.bsky.social · 07/12/2025

Year end reading thought. Book Tracker just unlocked my Year In Review ‘25 and that little voice says I did not read enough. I am choosing to treat it as a reminder to slow down, be kind to myself and enjoy the books that were really there for me this year.

Book Tracker feature that feels a bit like magic. You type a title and the app gently reminds you “Yes, you own this. It is in the living room, second shelf, right side.” The app stays digital, but the feeling is very physical. It saves you from pulling every book out of the shelf.

Hot take from an app for readers. Your reading life is not a social feed. Book Tracker does not have a public profile or a discovery page. It is much more boring than that, in the best way. Just you, your books, and a clear view of your own history.

Year In Review '25 is now live in Book Tracker! Go to Statistics and tap the banner to see your top rated book, your longest read, your most read authors and genres and your total pages and books for 2025. If you checked it already, what was the detail that surprised you the most?

What is one thing you think small indie apps can do better than giant platforms?

000

Book Tracker @booktracker.bsky.social · 28/11/2025

Behind Book Tracker there is no board room, no growth team, no strategy slides. There is one developer, one very patient reader wife, and a home that keeps filling with books. I built the app to solve our problem with duplicates, then discovered that many other readers live with the same chaos.
