An honest ask from an indie dev. App Store rankings are a brutal game for small apps. If Book Tracker has been part of your reading life, two things make a real difference: leaving a review on the App Store, and telling a friend who reads.

Book Tracker grows thanks to word of mouth. If you like the app, recommending it to a friend or leaving a review is the best way to support it. It means a lot, especially in these days.

If you share books, your memory is not enough. Book Tracker gives you a list for books you lend out and a list for books you borrow. You can see in a second which books are away and which ones you should return. What is the last book you lost track of after lending or borrowing it? #BookTrackerApp

I often receive App Store reviews complaining that my apps are paid while there are “many free alternatives”. It is fair feedback, and it always makes me stop and think. Is my message not clear enough, or do people simply not care.

Before heading to the bookstore for your holiday shopping, check your Wishlist in Book Tracker. Having your "To-Buy" list organized prevents purchasing duplicates and helps you manage your budget. A simple tool for a busy shopping season.

If your reading log right now is, a notes app, a spreadsheet or a pile of screenshots, Book Tracker gives you one clean place for your library, ratings, stats, and a private Year In Review, on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Search Book Tracker on the App Store if that sounds like something you need.

Soft December reminder. When you open Book Tracker and see your stats, it is easy to focus on how many books you did not finish. Try this instead: Ask yourself how reading helped you through this year. Reply with a word or a short sentence that fits your 2025 reading mood.

I love good book recommendations. I just do not think they should come from the same system that is trying to keep you glued to a screen. That is why Book Tracker has no “You might also like” section. The app is more like a mirror for your reading life than a guide.

Book Tracker @booktracker.bsky.social · 09/12/2025
Book Tracker will never ask: “Are you still there?” If you are not reading, it is perfectly fine for the app to sit in a quiet corner of your home screen and do nothing. No feed to check. No drama to follow. No new thing to refresh. Just a place to track your books when you feel like it.

Year end reading thought. Book Tracker just unlocked my Year In Review ‘25 and that little voice says I did not read enough. I am choosing to treat it as a reminder to slow down, be kind to myself and enjoy the books that were really there for me this year.

Book Tracker feature that feels a bit like magic. You type a title and the app gently reminds you “Yes, you own this. It is in the living room, second shelf, right side.” The app stays digital, but the feeling is very physical. It saves you from pulling every book out of the shelf.

Hot take from an app for readers. Your reading life is not a social feed. Book Tracker does not have a public profile or a discovery page. It is much more boring than that, in the best way. Just you, your books, and a clear view of your own history.

Behind Book Tracker there is no board room, no growth team, no strategy slides. There is one developer, one very patient reader wife, and a home that keeps filling with books. I built the app to solve our problem with duplicates, then discovered that many other readers live with the same chaos.

Little Sunday ritual. Open Book Tracker. Glance at what moved, what stayed, what surprised me. Sometimes a book I thought I was “not really reading” actually shows up every day in my sessions. Sometimes the opposite is true. How did your reading feel this week? Soft Scattered Intense Nonexistent

Book Tracker @booktracker.bsky.social · 26/11/2025
I love when Book Tracker proves my brain wrong. My brain says: “You did not really read this week.” The app says: “Actually, you read twelve times. Most of them were under fifteen minutes.” The small sessions count too.

Some readers collect special editions. I collect sentences. Book Tracker makes it easy to keep the lines that feel like they were written exactly for you. Look at your last saved quote, in any app or notebook. What does it say about where your head or heart is these days?

Book Tracker @booktracker.bsky.social · 24/11/2025
One of my favourite statuses in Book Tracker is “Not finished”. It is a tiny reminder that you are allowed to walk away. Sometimes the book is great, but the timing is wrong. Sometimes the book is simply not for you. Both are fine.

There is a quiet moment I love in Book Tracker. You open the stats, see the colours of genres and formats, and suddenly realise “Oh. I am not the same reader I was three years ago.”

Some reading apps treat you like a player in a game. Book Tracker would rather be the quiet notebook on your nightstand. No fireworks if you finish a book. No sad face if you do not. Just honest history and tools that help you notice your own rhythms.

Every now and then I open Book Tracker, tap on a random past read and ask myself “Where was I when I read this?” Sometimes I remember the exact chair. Sometimes a long train ride. Sometimes a very strange season of life.

Reading challenges are a personal ritual. Some people set a number of books, others aim for more slow reading or want to read outside their comfort zone. I am curious about your experience. Did you set a reading challenge this year? And what kind of challenge would you like to try next year?

This review stood out to me because it reflects exactly how many readers use Book Tracker in practice. Seeing how people integrate the app into their reading routines helps me understand what actually works and what I should keep improving.

Good design should disappear. Every detail in Book Tracker is built to stay out of the way so you can focus on what matters: your books. No clutter, no extra buttons, no distractions. Just a calm, beautiful space to organize your library.

Book Tracker @booktracker.bsky.social · 17/11/2025
I’ve always believed that tracking what you read isn’t about numbers. It’s about remembering how a book made you feel, where you were when you finished it, and why it mattered. Book Tracker helps you see your reading journey as a story, one you’re still writing every day.

If you love reading book series, you know how easy it is to lose track of the right order. In Book Tracker, you can organize every series and assign a number to each title. Open the Series page, tap the three dots in the top corner, and select Order Series.

Reading isn’t a race. It’s a routine, a moment you create for yourself each day. That’s why Book Tracker is designed to be quiet and distraction-free. No feeds, no ads, no pressure to read more. Just a calm space to track your progress and enjoy every page.

Book Tracker @booktracker.bsky.social · 13/11/2025
Some books stay with you because of a single line. That’s why I added the Quotes section in Book Tracker. You can save your favorite sentences while reading and revisit them anytime. It’s a small detail, but it turns your library into something deeply personal.

Book Tracker @booktracker.bsky.social · 12/11/2025
Privacy isn’t a feature, it’s a foundation. Book Tracker doesn’t need an account, doesn’t track your activity, and never shows ads. Your entire library, notes, and reading progress stay safely in iCloud, only accessible to you. No data sharing. No analytics. Just your books.
000
Book Tracker @booktracker.bsky.social · 11/11/2025
Your library is more than a list of books, it’s a timeline of who you were when you read them. That’s what inspired Book Tracker’s design: a calm space to browse your collection and see how your reading evolved. No ads, no noise, just you and your books.

Do you set reading goals each year? I wanted Book Tracker’s goal system to feel motivating, not stressful. You can add your yearly challenge, track how many books you’ve finished, and see your reading pace evolve month by month.

Every screen in Book Tracker — every icon, color, and line of code, is something I designed myself. I don’t have a team or a company behind me. It’s just me, my Mac, and a lot of late nights trying to make everything feel right.

I often get asked: How is Book Tracker different from Goodreads? The short answer: it’s built for readers, not for algorithms. Goodreads is great if you want to share reviews or connect socially. But if you just want a clean, private space to organize your library, that’s where Book Tracker shines.

Keeping track of your reading shouldn’t feel like work. That’s why I designed Book Tracker to make adding and organizing books effortless. You can search by title or ISBN, scan a barcode in seconds, or add details manually. Everything is synced with iCloud, privately, across iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

Every time a friend recommended a movie or a TV show, I thought, “I’ll save it somewhere”. But then I’d forget the title. Notes, screenshots, text messages, nothing worked. I wanted one place to keep all those suggestions organized, along with the movies I’d already watched.
