Fantasy romance is a more popular genre lately.  I’ve always enjoyed fantasy with romance.  The world-building in Kingdom of Exiles is fascinating! I love the idea of beast charmers and the beasts.  I want to learn MUCH more about the different beasts with their classes and talents.  It is only the tip of the iceberg […]

Sophia Rose is here with a review of (Mostly) Human Resources by Grace Viall. Come see what she thinks of this first in series, dark urban fantasy that dabbles in horror.

When one lives in a town called Rudolph, Christmas-themed celebrations and life are unsurprisingly the thing, but this time the ho-ho-hos are mixed with the nasty trick of murder when a caterer’s treats for a Halloween charity gala poison an obnoxious guest.  Vicki Delany’s cozy mysteries are not new territory for me, but this particular […]

I’m continuing with the STEMinist Novellas .  The audios are releasing before the ebooks by 3 months or so.  The audio is about half the length of a regular audio.  I did see the pages for this one listed as 312 in one place, which is a full book in my mind. The first book, Under […]

Music and Sports in a boarding school setting?  Of course, I had to read it.  I was delighted to plunge in to a new to me author’s debut for what looked like a lightly sexy and heartwarming contemporary romance. Sophie Doyle is at her lowest when she arrives as the new athletic trainer at a […]

The Two Rivers  series continues with a murdered girl Lottie on holiday and her friend Hannah missing.  The head of the team in Matthew, and his husband, Jonathon runs an art centre.   There's Jen who is a single parent of two teens.  There's Ross who is a favorite of Matthew's boss, and is bucking to move up, but needs more skills; he thinks he's better than he is.

In this exhilarating Pride and Prejudice Variation, Jessie Lewis goes where no writing plot has gone before.  She sets the bonnet spinning – and might cause some vapors in readers- when she allows readers and Mr. Darcy to open the library door during the Netherfield Ball and spot two of the most unlikely people -one […]

I’ve spent the last month focusing on WW2 fiction and drama in honor of D-day on June 6th.  I’ve shed a lot of tears, stared vacantly at the wall at the end of a particularly brutal story, and sighed with satisfaction at an HEA I had prepared myself not to get.  But one theme runs […]
