I love this Nomae art @ineffapable.bsky.social drew for me! "Noa knew it was a dream. Not because he was wearing the wings befitting the Master of Birds but because Mae stood before him. Her face gentler than he could ever imagine. And when his callused palm touched her cheek, it was warm.

Deep down I need more reylo shippers to watch Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes so they can ship Noa and Mae. Intergenerational conflict between their peoples. Betrayal. Reluctant allies to enemies to....? She's a human and he's an ape (yes an ape just trust me). The Romeo and Juliet of it all.

Not me making an underworld goddess connection between Severance and Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes because of Dichen Lachman's characters Korina and Gemma. They're Kore and Persephone!

Listen. The only way you can become a good writer is by being a shitty writer and doing it anyways. You can’t magically become a good writer by having a machine do some of the work for you. That just makes you a fraud.

I finally got around to making a poster for Rise of the Planet for the Apes to follow up my Dawn posters I made a few years ago now. Took me waaaaay too long to get round to doing this but I'm really happy with how this one turned out. Next stop, War and Kingdom!

Poster for Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Low angle shot of apes looking up at Caeser on a bus on the golden gate bridge. Apes are climbing up the wires either side of the suspension bridge, the title letters are cracked

Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes Theory If Dawn of the Planet of the Apes was based on Hamlet, then to keep the story feeling like Shakespeare, the KOTPOTA sequels could take inspiration from Romeo and Juliet.

I have yet to post on here my Greek myth in KOTPOTA thread, along with my Romeo and Juliet retelling theory. Maybe I'll quickly do that now?

So apparently there is this backstory where as a kid, Noa helped design and build the fish racks with his mom, and I think it's so cute learning how he's always been an engineer of sorts, even as a kid 🥹 www.tiktok.com/t/ZTjqVwp67/

So if anyone wants to join a Planet of the Apes Nomae discord server (ship name for Noa x Mae), let me know. It's mostly Nomae, but there's also general theories and discussions. Please, only 18+ since there are some NSFW channels and discussions as well.

I noticed something about the final scene in KOTPOTA. It's implied the satellites are from the Very Large Array (VLA) in New Mexico, a radio telescope that allows astronomers to see objects in space. So both Noa and Mae end the movie with telescopes. I just think that's neat!

Have a headcanon that chimps in Planet of the Apes mourn the loss of the white tuft on baby chimp's butts just like how humans adore and miss the newborn scrunch or don't wanna cut off the children’s baby hair.

I was doing research for a POTA fic on how transmission towers work, and I found some pics of nests built by birds in these towers and learned they cause outages. Then it hit me that Eagle Clan also built giant nests in these towers. Which is kinda funny if you think about it.

Thread on the dyad concept, Oshamir, and the Power of Three in The Acolyte. In summary: Qimir=Hermes and Osha=Aphrodite 🧵 (previously posted at the other place) #thursdaytheories #renewtheacolyte #savetheacolyte

Qimir holding Osha and asking her "Why do you still think of yourself as a Jedi?"

Alchemist symbolic interpretation of a hermaphrodite - to be understood as the melding of male and female together to create one new being. Depiction is of a person with two heads, one female and one male, laying on a table over a fire.

The images of other fairytales in this moodboard are from the following stories: Cupid and Psyche, Beauty and the Beast, East of the Sun and West of the Moon, and The Crane Wife. I read them from this book. I'd like to think Noa was reading a book like this in the fic.

Banned/challenged books are often difficult reads with jarring content, but we can't shield ourselves nor our children from the realities of the world forever - it's better to build empathy and understanding through books, especially by reading books by/about marginalized people.
