2/ Christ doesn't ask us to have dominion over anyone or anything. He asks us instead to walk with people in the valley of their suffering as he does, share in their pain, walk/help them out of it, and point them to the Cross. /ENDS

Every time a Christian spouts blind hatred against Muslims over 9/11 (or any other reason) ... they are joining the terrorists on the plane. Christ-like praxis makes no room for blind hatred. Our words and deeds lay the road the Gospel walks upon. We should take care to protect the Gospel's voice.

9/ Eventually he will look at you as a tool, sexually and otherwise, rather than a person to fulfill and be mutually submitted to. This is why “role” doctrine pushed by Comp Theo is inherently abusive and antichrist. It removes the Imago Dei/personhood from women and makes them into mere tools.

7/ We in the pulpit should never consider ourselves (unless trained for it academically) to speak to the specifics of sexual well-being and sexual health of a marriage. We point people to the Cross … not to their orgasms. And orgasms are not a metric for marriage health.

5/ We like to blame coverups on protecting theological camps or denominational entities. That is a cop-out. The reality is that like protects like. There is a specific pathology that goes with comp doctrine or “penis-holster” sermonizing about sex, and that pathology is as reliable as Polaris.

3/ It’s a sure bet we’ll one day we’ll see similar stories about Driscoll, Suave, Wilson, etc. I have no problem believing that (and I can only speak for myself) Driscoll, Webbon, Suave, Ascol, etc have had women/boys on the side, and in time we’ll likely hear abuse stories about Wilson. Inevitable.
