The Auto membership is only $175 a year I think too? Worth the peace of mind plus all the stuff you mentioned.

Still, trying to fit a vessel large enough in the fridge with turkey water in it without spilling isn’t fun.

Don’t know if you have any of that fun garlic salt you gave me but that would be a lovely addition

Dry is way easier for such a big bird

At first I thought you meant the griddle, but I also don't see why both things can't exist together

Without hyperbole she is one of the greatest vocalists of our lifetimes

That does make me feel better, on both accounts. What a lineup of performers!

Today was my first time playing in this league as I’m on the spare list for the season. First half of the game was great! Then one of the lads on the other team fell and cranked his head on the ice.. so that was the end of the game. Remember friends: be careful on the curling ice around the rocks!

On Sundays I’m sparing in the gay league but yes absolutely! Lots of spectators out today!

After a month of fermenting, today was processing day for the jalapeños. Surprisingly spicy for just jalapeños! But if I might say, it’s dang tasty.

Finished jalapeño fermented hot sauce/salsa/condiment in jars

Admittedly I hang onto shorts for longer than the average joe but this aft definitely deserved it!

Yup! An early voting version!

I like voting so much that I did it three and a half weeks early!

Speaking of cooler weather, it is now soup season

Onion, celery, carrot and garlic in the bottom of a large pot.

Same pot, now with roasted butternut squash.

And finally, with a *word redacted* of fresh thyme and covered with stock

As long as I’m careful while blitzing it shouldn’t be a problem. When I open the bag after they ferment, and when I pasteurize it thereafter, I will definitely be doing that outside though.

Next week brings frost-level overnight temps so the remaining peppers will have to be harvested. You may ask why I grew Carolina Reapers? I’m not quite sure myself, but sure as shit I’m gonna make some hot sauce to see how much I can burn myself. For funzies, of course.

Well done! I’m not sure I would have gotten past a first bite.

I can’t believe it took me until Wednesday to listen to ‘Stay Forever’ but it also begs the question.. What is the best Ween song?

I’m excited to see how this goes

Happy birthday good sir!!! Glad you had a great day!

I believe the official notation goes ‘boo da boo dah boom, boo da boom dah boom dah’

I’ve listened to Lateralus A LOT so the opening bass line to Schism is embossed on my brain

But you’re subreddit famous!

Eric @bombasteric.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

That would be the reason I'm looking for. Though coming straight east-west is still pretty weird.. as per the name, it's normally a bit north!

It’d be an eas’ wester’ every day if that was the case

Why is the weather moving east to west today? Is that not weird?
