Rain coated the world like oil paints on a canvas, sending blues and reds rippling against each other in the grand lake of existence. The boundary between everything was soft, and concepts were making love in the back alleys of the hoi polloi’s subconscious.….

Tarot isn't magic. Or if it is, it's only because magic is ink blots. It's the incredible magic of the human ability to see stories in anything, to make meaning from symbols. The Bogfolk's Mordant Arcana straddles this line between the magical and mundane. - @riseupcomus.bsky.social [Links below]

Some more art to wet your palette… #tarot #tarotsky

5 monochrome tarot cards are lined up in a row, some obscuring others. The first one is strength showing artwork with a man with two dog faces screaming. The other artwork is obscured but the words “hermit” “fortune” and “man” can be made out on the other cards. The card tucked behind the first is black with white accents and all others are white with black accents.

Four monochrome cards are spread out like a fan, most of the artwork is obscured in a stylish manner, but the first card is completely visible. It has “The fools” printed on the bottom and depicts a group of dancers dancing precariously near a cliff.

Lichoma by @stregawolf.art & @bogfolk.bsky.social is a wonderful and savage piece of art. Strega had shit to say about the world and how we view each other and this game is that chain of megaphones Bart made on the Simpsons. It's loud and very political and easily one of my favorite pieces of art.

Btw, there's a reason that the slogan-thing for @bogfolk.bsky.social is "Dare to defy. Art and work are political." 🐸☕ At the very least, I find that it's more true than not, which is why I suggested it for our co-op. I don't want a pat on the back, but I *do* want to be clear about where I stand.
