Fired up Endless Ocean for the first time, it is an extremely chill "game" but I need a much better sitting situation for games that are entirely Wii remote pointing because I was sitting hunched on an ottoman the whole time and I'm 40 so bad posture like that has consequences.

God does not exist as the Guardians beat the White Sox three games to two.

The Wrestling Epilogue is a sketch that appears in "Sex and Violence," the second episode of Monty Python's Flying Circus.

An interviewer (John Cleese) introduces the Epilogue and announces a wrestling match between Monsignor Edward Gay (Terry Medlicote) and Dr Tom Jack (Brian Lancaster), who are wrestling to prove the existence or non-existence of God, respectively.

The master of ceremonies (Eric Idle) announces the wrestling match, which then begins with commentary from the interviewer. The interviewer then signs off before shooting at something off-camera.

Over the credits, it is announced that God exists by two falls to a submission.

#68 The Leftovers by Tom Perrotta 3/5 stars The show is a masterpiece built by a team that took an average novel and found the magic hidden within it.

The book is so completely overshadowed by the television series. Credit to Perrotta for writing a solid framework to build on, but all credit for being memorable and telling interesting stories has to go to Lindelof and the rest of the show staff. Another in the continuing chronicles of Tom Perrotta having a good premise and not being able to come in for a landing with it. There are at least some exclamation point moments in here, but he leaves so much story untold as you're finishing the last page. Fortunate that we have the show, but I think a second, third novel of this as a series might also be significantly better than this single volume standing alone.

#67 The Universal Baseball Association, Inc. J. Henry Waugh, Prop. 2/5 stars A 1968 book about a guy's TTRPG baseball league that started good and ended bad, with maybe the most unreadable final chapter of any normal book, ever.

this is a book about a guy with autism

Cannot believe how quickly I turned on this. I loved the first third that I read the first night, completely engrossed. When the key event took place, the novel fell off a cliff into being a descent into madness that got less and less enjoyable. I didn't spend 56 seasons with these dozens of made-up players, I don't care how every single one of them is reacting in various settings. I HATE the repeated romanticized (as in, there's a song about it in the text, among other things) references to a literal rape happening in the dugout during a game. The last chapter is entirely in the made-up world in some different form and is literally unreadable.

I am super bummed that I looked forward to reading this for a long time and liked the beginning and this is what it is.

#66 Life of M by Rachel Cusk 1/5 stars Oh boy did I HATE this

Baffled by the attention this is getting. So dull and lacking anything notable or charming that it took me 8 days to read a 160-page book. The core of the gimmick, "is this about Natalie Portman," is completely uninteresting to me because so little of the book's word count is even spent on this. At least 50 percent of it is tremendously detailed descriptions of rooms, for no reason. Am I to suspect that the author wanted to see if she could compile her writing warm-up exercises into a bestseller by adding the phantom of controversy? I will read some reviews of this to figure out if there's something I've missed but I don't think I will change my opinion from "DOA."

#64 The Glass Hotel by Emily St. John Mandel 4/5 stars My first by her, definitely not my last

Excellent writing, and tremendously compelling. The juggling of so many characters that felt different even among the ones with the smallest parts. My only issue with the novel is that there were those fantastic elements lurking at the edges that felt like they were building to something that didn't totally pay off to me. Still, I can see myself re-reading this and I am greatly looking forward to reading the author's other books.

#63 Babel-17 by Samuel R. Delany 2/5 stars felt like charlie gordon trying to solve the maze reading this

Fell absolutely off a cliff after a very interesting start. Really got way into its own logic, and I'm sure it all made sense in Delany's head, but I could not decipher the second half at all. It shared the Nebula with Flowers for Algernon, so it is very possible that I, the reader, is the one who is dumb and wrong. But it was simply asking me for a level of close reading that I was not prepared to give it
