Both were tortured during their captivity and required hospitalization in Istanbul before returning; Malika suffered a broken clavicle and other neck injuries, and Scott several severely bruised ribs and a ruptured ear drum from blows to the head. He was also sexually assaulted. Free Palestine. ✊

Our friends Malika Baouya and Scott Moreau, two members of the Global Sumud Flotilla who were kidnapped by Israeli forces in international waters last week, returned home to Nice this evening, where a large group of friends, family and supporters welcomed them home.

A Mallard Duck with a bright irridescent green and blue head and bright yellow bill, flaps its wings to dry them above the surface of the Laghi de Fusine, an alpine lake in the Julian Alps near the Italian-Slovenian border. Drops of water splash and small waves form along the surface of the water which otherwise is relatively calm.

Two Gray Herons, wings spread widely, and one with its beak open wide to let out a loud squawk, engage in a brief territorial skirmish at the Ètang des Batayolles in the Camargue near Saint-Maries-de-la-Mer, France. The Camargue, which sits in the Rhone River Delta, is the largest wetland in Europe.
