Shitposting Monday: We need a journal like this.

Bob Mayo @bobmayo.com · 17/07/2026

I doubt it. They think this is a consequence of poor forest management. Trump himself has said that forests need to be hand raked in order to prevent forest fires. (I doubt he has ever walked in a forest.)

Friday fun: watching a geothermal energy classic. 🤪

I call them Thermal Dominators, to appeal to a wider demographic. /s

We need different marketing for heat pump skeptics.

Bob Mayo @bobmayo.com · 24/06/2026

Or if for some odd reason you don’t like that, how about turning the door into an ant farm?

Bob Mayo @bobmayo.com · 14/06/2026

Receiving a nice chunk of that wind at the moment!

Someone’s really missing an opportunity to make an induction wok called … the e-wok.

It’s not unusual to find some regions of negative wholesale prices in California.

Bob Mayo @bobmayo.com · 02/06/2026

A good sized chunk of California is running on batteries right now.

Nice to see this posted in a restaurant’s window.

Let’s go! Solar down, batteries up.

020

Bob Mayo @bobmayo.com · 17/05/2026

It’s 9pm in California, and the state is running on ~30% batteries, charged earlier with solar.

Do buildings. Even in 2023 California’s buildings had more emissions than our power plants. Now the grid is much cleaner.

Just there to recharge, probably.

I imagine the cleanup would be tough.

010

Bob Mayo @bobmayo.com · 13/04/2026

Someday I’ll make something along these lines.

020

Bob Mayo @bobmayo.com · 06/04/2026

I wonder what refrigerant.

Apparently there are electric plasma cooktops, as well as hybrid plasma/induction ones. youtu.be/sgrVPGdpEfU?... smartbuy.alibaba.com/buyingguides...

Project delayed by the heat pump rebate approval process. That’s part of the package, so I installed a temporary cooking space in the meantime.

Space in kitchen cabinet where a stove used to be. Countertop extended with a sheet of plywood and an induction hot plate on top.

Pretty soon we’ll have to give up our best WiFi coverage, too.

081

Bob Mayo @bobmayo.com · 16/02/2026

Before and after. Gas stove gone. Induction range to be installed soon.

030

Bob Mayo @bobmayo.com · 16/02/2026

Replacement in progress as we speak! Gas stove removed yesterday. Circuit and induction stove coming soon.

020

Bob Mayo @bobmayo.com · 12/02/2026

Scraper with plastic blades.

010

Bob Mayo @bobmayo.com · 06/02/2026

I understand that a heat pump outdoor unit will produce water, but as you can see in the photo this one both sends it down a drain (white pipe) and ALSO lets it pool underneath. Is this unusual?

021

Bob Mayo @bobmayo.com · 25/01/2026

For a moment I was excited about a 1 megawatt cooktop (!?). Especially considering the domain name. But, alas, 1MW is the name of their social media series “1 Minute Wednesdays”.

221

Bob Mayo @bobmayo.com · 25/01/2026

Probably to put them in their evidence storage locker.

051

Bob Mayo @bobmayo.com · 24/01/2026

Wait, did they invite us to meme?

Bob Mayo @bobmayo.com · 23/01/2026

Among other things, make a park, build a memorial, and declare a new state holiday — “Minnesota Occupation Day”.

Bob Mayo @bobmayo.com · 17/12/2025

Hey @nbcbayarea.com , I appreciate your segment on EVs but it’s really odd when you use stock footage of obsolete models. You wouldn’t cover the latest iPhone news with footage of a flip phone.

Every anti-Trump person qualifies as having Trump Derangement Syndrome, according to Trump. That makes them eligible for a Covid vaccine.

And thus, we have the performance of petro-masculinity. Nothing screams “I want others to see that I do my own thing, and like me for that” than rolling coal.

When I read the 5th bullet point, all I can think is “opportunity to make the U.S. less efficient and less competitive internationally”.

Another meme opportunity!

Sh*tpost of the day: Combo EV/washer/dryer. Put that battery to good use.

Thank you for the opportunity to use this meme again.
