backroads bob @bobkochan.bsky.social · 22/03/2026Nice innovation. Will likely improve and get cheaper in time. I’ve been using 240V induction now for 10+ years. Higher up front expense but I’m sure it’s now fully paid for itself in energy savings. 010
backroads bob @bobkochan.bsky.social · 21/03/2026I guess this is what you would call it. Similar to what I suggested in this thread. That said, your privatization claim may not be entirely wrong. This could be a move in that direction. Time will tell. See para. 13-14. globalnews.ca/news/1174046...globalnews.caANALYSIS: Carney promised spending cuts — but not all cuts are equal - National | Globalnews.caFinance Minister François-Philippe Champagne says the government has found ways to cut spending by $60 billion but cautions that published spending cuts require important context. 000

backroads bob @bobkochan.bsky.social · 20/03/2026I’m guessing the number may be a clawback or reneging on said loans. Maybe to force CP into a position of deep cuts and radical restructuring as already recommended by Carney. Privatization has not been proposed contrary to what @nolore.bsky.social states. 100

backroads bob @bobkochan.bsky.social · 20/03/2026Maybe. But CP is not supposed to be funded. As a crown corporation, it’s meant to pay dividends to the gov. It did up until 2017 and then recently received a loan. 000
