Better second half and some good stuff going forward. Hassan’s shooting is poor but he can get us up the pitch. Defence all over the shop. Sinisalo isn’t anywhere near good enough.

Going exactly as expected. Naive, uncoached and lacking in quality. Prestiani is an incredible talent.

This has been a fantastic game. Even the unholy trinity of Fletcher, McCoist and Gerrard can’t spoil it.

Job done. A tricky fixture ticked off. Good performance, Motherwell keeper was excellent

😂 Mheuka offers more from what I’ve seen so far

100

Stevie Jackson @bobbyperu1975.bsky.social · 11/10/2026

Started well but faded a little. Hogh offering very little, badly needs a goal. Motherwell very poor.

Stevie Jackson @bobbyperu1975.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

I remember him refusing to do a huddle with one of his clubs and just standing up. A moron

Stevie Jackson @bobbyperu1975.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

I’ve said it before but he’s like someone who learned to play football from reading a book. An absolute myth.

Stevie Jackson @bobbyperu1975.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

Some encouraging signs in the two away games and Switzerland at home was a write off after the red card and early goal but that was very poor tonight. McBurnie remains a big doo. 20 caps and no goals. Let that be the end of that.

Stevie Jackson @bobbyperu1975.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

Aye. By about 2pm on Sunday I’ll probably be wanting it back

I thought having 1 x 3 week international break would have been better than the 2 x 2 week ones previously but this seems to have lasted for about 6 months!

Blistering gig. What a noise from 3 folk!

Stevie Jackson @bobbyperu1975.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

Off to see Cory Hanson at Stereo tonight. Must have been 2019 last time I saw him play with Wand at Mono. Got this ticket over a year ago when it was supposed to be The Flying Duck!

Really enjoyed Widow’s Bay excellent telly. Creepy and funny with so many great performances. Spent most of it thinking it needs to just be a one and done but now think they’ve set it up nicely for the second series.

Encouraging 2nd half from Scotland and should have won. Need to find a goalscorer from somewhere!

It’s like Destroyer. Just one of those names that throws you off scent. 😂

Superb gig from Man/Woman/Chainsaw at Tuts. The cover of Cannonball a wee bonus. Such an amazing and varied set of songs already. Seeing them again at the Art School next year.

When you need someone to score and they’ve brought on a character from the Star Wars prequels

Stevie Jackson @bobbyperu1975.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

Sinisalo awful at the goal. Has a clear look at the shot coming on. Could probably catch it but needs to just push it wide. Anything except what he did.

020

Stevie Jackson @bobbyperu1975.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

I see folk at the game saying it looks like McCowan and KT wide in a midfield 5 with a back four of Donovan, CCV, AT, scales based on warm up Think my formation is better 😂

000

Stevie Jackson @bobbyperu1975.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

Donovan and KT as wing backs makes sense I think given what we have available. Hassan too lazy to play in game like this and Tounekti too Tounekti.

010

Stevie Jackson @bobbyperu1975.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

Not far off the team I’d have picked. Although I wouldn’t have had McCowan anywhere near it! Nygren playing off the striker will hopefully suit him. Still nowhere near confident though.

Stevie Jackson @bobbyperu1975.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

Issues throughout the team but while Hassan obviously has some talent his point blank refusal to sprint (or even jog quickly) back the way isn’t going to endear him to any manager.

070

Stevie Jackson @bobbyperu1975.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

Team has a bit more balance about it overall and seems more like players in their best positions and not just trying to shoehorn all our “best” players in but the downside of that is at first glance there doesn’t seem to be a huge amount of goals in the lineup.

110

Stevie Jackson @bobbyperu1975.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

That was before a game though 😂

Stevie Jackson @bobbyperu1975.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

I’ve met you in the Press and you were lovely but you didn’t swear once.

Love the podcast. The swearing is a bit much

Yep and I love you both. neither of you are as foul mouthed in real life. Especially you ❤️

Offer Bissouma a contract tomorrow please

262

Stevie Jackson @bobbyperu1975.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

Abysmal performance. Not signing a midfielder who can dominate a game is going to come back to bite us against any even remotely competent opposition

1182

Stevie Jackson @bobbyperu1975.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

It’s not perfect but we’ve won 12 (I think) league games in a row for the first time in a good while so it’s working to an extent.

100

Stevie Jackson @bobbyperu1975.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

Good win if not a good performance. Johnstone showed up well. Baur settling in now and Donovan an upgrade on Ralston. A win, a clean sheet and a few players rested.

3100

Stevie Jackson @bobbyperu1975.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

Poor stuff so far. All very pedestrian and defence look like they are always on the edge of making a mistake. Cracking save from Johnstone.

080

Stevie Jackson @bobbyperu1975.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

Think it’s maybe only available in a couple of places initially

100

Stevie Jackson @bobbyperu1975.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

Felt we would maybe see a few changes tonight. Good to see Hogh back and Sorensen get a start. Interesting to see how Johnstone does.

130

Stevie Jackson @bobbyperu1975.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

The Irish Centre? Aye it’s a good spot for a game.

110

Stevie Jackson @bobbyperu1975.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

That was over 2 years ago to be fair. I’m sure he wouldn’t want to commit to Scotland this early but the longer it goes without a sniff of an England call up the more it becomes a question again I guess

110

Stevie Jackson @bobbyperu1975.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

Seemed to be he’s knocked us back twice. Not sure if last one he said he just wasn’t interested at all or whether it was left open

120

Stevie Jackson @bobbyperu1975.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

I wasn’t sure. Can ask his wee brother then 😂

100

Stevie Jackson @bobbyperu1975.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

Miller, McPake and Wilson showing up well at Hearts. Graham and Welsh getting good notices from down south. Donovan improving with us. And guys like Watt, Binks and Ure on the continent and probably a few i’ve forgotten too.

020

Stevie Jackson @bobbyperu1975.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

Going to be interesting to see the first Scotland squad under Pocognoli. There are likely to be at least 11 places opened up from the World Cup squad (hopefully 1 more as would love KT to step back from it). Lots of players who could be called up and may try to get Hackney and Gray to commit.

Seems like a grey area. I guess they’ve applied the bottom part here for “optics” The one unquestionable thing is that cheap version of VAR and lack of cameras angles is making things harder for everyone at certain grounds
