5) Wilmot Works It Out 🧩 I adored this. Just a simple puzzle (as in jigsaw) game featuring the lovable square character. It shakes things up with very small puzzles, tiles all the same shape, and no preview images. But it's the post-game marathon mode that's really pulled me in for much, much more!

4) Hue 🎨 A really solid puzzle platformer that came up with some great ideas based on its main mechanic, let down slightly by awkward controls and some weird inter-level layout/grindy stuff. I loved the look.

3) Blue Prince 🏰 Wow. An absolutely captivating game that still has many, many secrets for me to uncover. I definitely didn't do it in the most efficient way, but I'm happy about how some things twigged for me quickly, without needing further in-game clues. Some discoveries were exhilarating!

🕹️ Games finished in 2026 🎮 1) You Can Buy Every Upgrade This short metroidvania has a literal title and a nice set of power-ups for a simple adventure. It manages the combination of upgrades and optional routes really well, and packs a lot into around 25 minutes of gameplay.
