I agree 💯 It may sound silly but it reminds me a lot of the return to fixed gear bikes, turntables and plants/gardening as ways to be closer to the essence of things when they are abstracted too far from their origin. Human connection is much the same.

It’s so true. When I interact with human support for a brand I immediately get the sense they care more for their customers and have a higher quality product. The opposite can be said when I’m forced into interacting with synthetic humans trying to fain human behavior and empathy.

Yah that’s definitely the drawback I’d see as well. I’m going to get crazy here so bear with me but … What if each feed has its own set of community curated reactions that could only be used on that feed. Like each servers on Discord. Delving into community not social features tho kk im done 😝

I think the simplicity incentivizes you to follow up with a comment (could be wrong) I’ve always been super interested in if a Discord style of community reactions would work on a more traditional social network. Hmm maybe something in the middle … large set of curated/customizable reactions? Fun.
