The Wellington Arms, Baughurst, Hampshire. UK

A pen & ink drawing with watercolour washes of a cream coloured country pub. Windows and woodwork are pale green, late afternoon shadows from trees not seen dapple the pub frontage, while a stroger shadow cuts across the tiled roof of a single floor extension. Behind the pub the skyline is broken by trees. Across front of the pub are a range of large earthenware pots containing a variety of shrubs and flora while two old, long water troughs contain rows of red tulips.

But it's ok for Russia to use N. Korean troops, artillery and missiles?

Peggy's Cove lighthouse. Acrylics and Prismacolor pencils.

A deep blue sky behind a sunlit Peggy's Cove Lighthouse which stands upon rocks worn smooth by the sea. The red top and white sides of the lighthouse contrasting the blue behind. The horizon cuts across the centre dividing the two blues of sky and sea. A faint hint of land disturbing the divide. Waves crash into the rocks sending small plumes of spray into the air.

Thanks Jan, for the photo. Yesterday's ride in the Cotswolds with the Tandem Club.

A husband and wife riding a Hase Pino tandem in sunshine, past an overgrown cotswold stone wall, with wooded hills in the background.

"Now Iran controls the Straits." Iran always had control of the Straits of Hormuz. It's only 21 miles at its narrowest, overlooked by Iran. They just allowed free passage until this fiasco. Now tankers will pay for passage, just like the Suez Canal. Iran needs income to repair Trump's destruction.

Parallels: Putin wants regime change and to rescue Russian speakers in Ukraine, but destroys and kills indiscriminately. Trump wants regime change and to rescue the Iranian people, yet ends up destroying and killing indiscriminately. And for what?

.US Secretary of State Marco Rubio wrote on X that achieving a "durable peace (in Ukraine) will require both sides to agree to difficult but necessary concessions". Ukraine: Give up more land, give up weapons, smaller army. So what difficult but necessary concessions is Russia agreeing to?

Please enjoy this Klimt Eastwood

The image is a piece of fan art titled "Klimt Eastwood," created by Carl Tétreault in 2016.

It depicts actor and director Clint Eastwood in a style inspired by the Austrian Symbolist painter Gustav Klimt, specifically referencing Klimt's "The Kiss".

Trump sniped "they're calling us, we're not calling them," adding that the country was important for US national security. You mean a bit like the people of Ukraine calling Putin and asking to be liberated?

"Russia views comments by President Emmanuel Macron about extending France’s nuclear deterrent to other European countries as a “threat”, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Thursday." Of course, Putin would never threathen the West with nukes.

After the arrival of the russian "liberators", the once flourishing city of Vuhledar was deserted, devoid of civilians. Only ruined buildings and scorched earth remain. Only a person out of his mind can call this "help to the population of Donbass"
