Turns out it was checking "import as skeleton" on the reimport menu, specifically for the rig import. Don't know why. There might be more to it that I haven't found out yet, but it's a step forward.

I'm back on LINE!!!!! THE SURVEILLANCE STATE WILL NEVER HAVE ME. Anyway, I remade the run animation. It's still ok to laugh. Needs some polish. I usually cut out the very last frame of animation when creating a cycle so it just loops straight to the beginning frame. #Blender #Godot #Animation
