here's my gargoyle oc! :3c although adopted by clan wyvern she's originally from the kievan rus' area of the world! so as much as i'm sure we all love the canon compliant loin cloths, i really wanted to dig around in a bit of something regional for her #gargoyles #gargoylesoc #disney #digital #art

I've spent a lot of time looking at this poster of Nick Cave and his shirt about how he hates every cop. I decided to make my own version about how much I hate CEOs. The imagery was too good to pass up, even though drawing bicycles is such a pain. (Prints & shirts on my website rosalarian.com)

the way the language of therapy gets used to interpret “emotional labor = bad” just breaks my heart. there will always be labor in caring for people and things. to care is to bear burden. what matters is that effort is shared, even if it can’t always be divided cleanly in half.

really want to get back into posting my work online, and i thought there was no better way than to illustrate one of my favorite gaming review and news outlets on youtube, the charming live hand monster @arlostuff.bsky.social 💙 i know you've been sick lately, and i hope you feel better soon!

An illustration featuring Arlo (a blue live hand puppet and YouTube personality) in the Rescue Corps uniform from Pikmin 4, sitting in front of a potted plant and window. Arlo has a Pikmin leaf growing from his head, and the desk he is sat on is a portion of his temporary background seen in one of his videos, indicating he is of Pikmin proportions.

lore: i started the sketch for this after getting out of a grippy sock vacation two years ago. during my stay i befriended a woman that was (rightly) very protective of her immaculate collection of colored pencils. i will always be grateful for how kind she was in sharing them with me. thanks bee.

This comic I made about how to get sterilized when you have ovary-based fertility always gets really popular during times like this. Asking for a hysterectomy is usually rejected, but procedures like salpingectomy and endometrial ablation are much more accessible and have a shorter recovery time.

I don't have the spoons to fully transcribe this so here's the general gist. This is a comic about my journey to a bilateral salpingectomy. It was suggested by my doctor after my last IUD got RIPPED OUT by accident.

A salpingectomy removes the fallopian tubes and cauterizes them, like getting your "tubes tied" but way more permanent and without the risk of becoming untied. It means sperm can no longer reach your eggs.

The surgery is done laparoscopically via three small incisions. It's an outpatient procedure. You will be put under anesthesia. It's one of the most expensive forms of birth control because it's a surgery, but my Obamacare insurance covered almost all of it.

Many doctors will tell you they can't do this procedure unless you're a certain age, or have already had kids, or that you need to be married and get your husband's permission. None of this is true. Even now, none of those things are legal requirements. I signed a waiver that I knew I was asking for permanent sterilization and that was that.
