What a lovely day to be outside. Got caught in the rain twice while on two wheels. Paddled a bit on the Minnehaha creek and Hiawatha Lake. I hope everyone had fun at the porch fest and tonight listening to Big Thief play.

Newly constructed parklands by the Mississippi River on the Minneapolis side of the river just downstream of the NP-BNSF Minneapolis Rail Bridge. The sun is low in the clear blue morning sky. Green trees are shading the wood chip ground and large sculptural carved sandstone blocks are visible for seating.

Another good morning!

Before the sun rises, the Atlantic Ocean is viewed from a sandy beach in southern North Carolina. No people or boats are visible, there is one organized surf break with smallish waves with abundant sea foam at the shore. The sky is yellow on the left, baby blue at top and the could are dramatically lit in orange, pink gray and purple hues.

Lovely night to bike with everyone enjoying the river and city tonight.

I couldn’t stay for the purple moment but seeing the sun set was lovely.

I love you, Minneapolis.

Community gathers in Washburn Fair Oaks Park before a group ride. Thousands of people on bikes are gathering but not visible. Peaceful observers have high visibility vests with DONT SHOOT printed on their backs. There is snow on the ground in the park and the sky is perfectly still and blue with a bright sun visible low in the sky.

Watching sunset hit the clouds at Mni Owe Sni (Coldwater spring) was also amazing - the native oak savanah and prairie grasses are so peaceful in autumn as twilight begins.

Fall colors - maple tree in wirth park with red, orange to yellow gradient from top to bottom and colorful leaves carpeting the grass below the tree. Most of the leaves are still on the tree. Overcast fall sky makes the colors pop.

Not sure how this was possible. (And sincerely hope no one was seriously injured.)

Power pole has been snapped off cleanly and is resting about 10 feet from where should be planted in the ground. A smashed white city of Minneapolis Traffic Control vehicle is pinned between the power pole and a brick building obstructing the sidewalk. The small SUV is about 30 feet from the nearest intersection and likely skidded into place.

Dragonfly helmet from Japan - 17th century iron and leather and paper maché materials used and displayed in a glass case. Mask up minneapolis! Good advice to safely rinse your nose, throat, sinuses as they protect your lungs.
