Also, not sure why WW has primarily mixed use zoning around the station. The demand is clearly there for housing and demand for ground floor retail seems soft.

Great to see and makes sense to put denser housing near the Princeton Junction station. The demand for the townhomes is notable and makes me wonder when/if the underutilized office buildings and surface parking lots near the station might be rezoned and turned into housing.

@njassemblydems.bsky.social @mikiesherrill.bsky.social you all have the majority and it’s important to this constituent that NJ Transit works reliably including during extreme heat. Passing the buck to Amtrak every time hasn’t worked and you all also don’t control federal transit appropriations.

Maybe NJT could incentivize up-zoning near stations by temporarily (couple of years) reducing ticket prices to/from stations in towns that allow new housing production near stations. Creates revenue for NJT via increased land value and more ridership and mayors can celebrate decreasing transit fares

I hope it’s okay to offer a few ideas: 1) better reliability 2) a few weekend express trains on NEC 3) evaluate the fare cost against similar regional railroads 4) Dinky fare is a bit hard to justify financial at more than $1 per mile especially with more than one person.

Apple has been rumored to be pursuing non-invasive blood glucose monitoring for the Apple Watch. This research demonstrates a proof of concept of one approach with miniaturization being at least one significant hurdle for wearables. The device in the study was 31 × 27 × 21 cm.
