Jetbrains has another IDE, CLion, for C/C++. I used to use Code::Blocks when I was using C++ a lot but it might be dated now.

I grew up in Youngstown, learning the hard way—through hunger and even homelessness—what it means to be tough. I'm going to fight for you, not for special interests. www.newsweek.com/amy-acton-vi...

Unfortunately we haven't been able to get him to keep them on yet but luckily he isn't as bothered by sounds as I am. Definitely will keep trying though.

My sin used to be terrified of the air dryers. Luckily now he likes the feeling of the air on his skin more than he hates the sound.

Some countries have been but I think it has been more directly targeted. A month or two ago I was getting ads on YouTube about how great working in STEM in Denmark is.

This script uses the same skin tones and hair colors that ARASAAC uses in their symbols because we use both symbol sets on his board.

To quickly add skin tone and hair color variations to my son's communication board, I wrote a tool edit an entire folder of SVG files, [svg-quick-edit](github.com/jacobmcgowan...) and a [script](gist.github.com/jacobmcgowan...) using that to generate variations of the Mulberry symbols.

Scientists and journalists need to figure out right quick how to explain to the average person how a massive change in research indirects will impact the medical care they and their children get (eg at the local children’s hospital), the education their children will get, the price of tuition, etc.

You can probably use Google Assistant/Lens to do it. Pull up Google Assistant with the image in screen, select Search Screen, then Select Text.

Ironically, stand-up meetings were originally meant to be taken literally. The idea behind them is to keep daily updates for Software Development teams short since no one wants to stand around for a long time. Unfortunately they turned into long status update meetings at a lot of companies.

Since finding out that my son and I are autistic, I have felt very lucky that I fell in love with programming. Not only do I get to work in a field with many other people like us but I can also use my skills to help my son by fixing issues we find with open source tools like cboard.io.
