Can every store and their mother stop putting out christmas shit the day October starts? At least wait until like.... mid november or something, christ. We even have a radio station here that starts playing christmas music as soon as halloween is over.

Apparently cilantro is supposed to taste peppery? That sounds so lovely and like something I'd love on a salad. Unfortunately I only taste soap, and it overwhelms whatever I put in it, even like... a guacamole or salsa or something.

Not too much I'm interested in, in this upcoming anime season. One or two standout shows, mostly season 2s of ones I've already seen.

Man I try not to paint any group of people (especially political ones) with a broad brush, but some of them make it REALLY really hard. Vocal minority and all that I guess. 😞

as an aside having this be your intro to dimitri, where he's literally animated with shoujo sparkle-like sweat, where the clear indication is that the devs want you to think of him as a princely bishounen with all the implications of that archetype? really genius move

kinda regretting putting in that order for the poke bowl and having mom go pick it up. she was in a considerably better mood when i did that and now it seems to have soured, so im feeling guilty

I've been good this month and haven't bought much stuff, so I have a little bit of extra spending money. Getting myself a poke bowl to treat myself, with some milk tea and melon pan

okay the dungeons are by miles the worst gameplay element of fortune's weave. I can't believe they actually made it all the way through playtesting and into the game. they suck so bad. they're boring and tedious and feel totally pointless. if I wanted to play metaphor refantazio I could.

I wish more people would realize/recognize the fact that quite a few of these tidy-up games that are so popular right now use or are made with AI assets. Including the library one which popularized it all. Always scroll down to the bottom of a steam page for an AI disclosure and do your research.

Man, favoritism sucks. I remember when my sister told my mom she was ace, she talked about how proud she was of her bravery for coming out, got her a subtle asexual graphic tee with cats of all the colors of the ace flag. I told mom I might be Ace the other day and you know what I got? '..okay.'

Our lawn care people aren't going to be doing lawn care anymore. It's going to be hard to find someone who did good lawncare work for an affordable price like they did.

A character can make mistakes, and be flawed. And they can also warrant both sympathy for their situation and consequences for their actions. Purely evil and purely good characters have their place, but expecting one or the other all the time is unreasonable and boring writing.

Friendly reminder that Duolingo was initially concieved to trick people into translating articles for free, which they later used as training data for MTL algorithms. Duolingo's primary purpose has NEVER been about teaching you a language, even from the start! slate.com/technology/2...
