My Memento Mori piece is now displayed :)

Blues @ comms closed @blucifer08.bsky.social · 16/10/2026

My finished piece for a Memento Mori themed art show, an original pattern cross stitch that doubles as a functioning clock. Some parts of the cloth are painted as well. #bluciworks

Because of where I live and my transportation situation I do have to order from Amazon occasionally and turns out they store a lot of weird info about you that you can just see 😭?

Finished my first cross stitch, this was not my pattern but my next will be from a pattern I've made

Reading the pattern is so much harder for me than I expected but this is fun. I kinda wanna just go at it without a pattern and see what I can make but I feel like it's a bad idea since I've never done it

I did a little embroidery in college but didn't do enough research and just constantly went at it with bad satin stitches and I have this unfinished project that took me months, it was gonna be a dragon

"He's nothing more than a freak without a human heart." #bluciworks

A digital drawing of N from Pokemon Black and White. He is standing at the left of the image with his head turned towards the left as well. Pieces of him have been cut out and moved to the right side of the page, on top of the shadow of Ghetsis. Behind N, there are golden lines and a golden circle to accentuate his head. A golden figure of Reshiram flies behind his head as well.

It's a reference to a phenomenon years ago when ppl would make hyper realistic versions of Nintendo stuff and claim Nintendo should "hire this man" (whoever made it) to make their games better

they're getting philosophical in a small breakfast cafe themed after stunfisk at 9 in the morning

N seems to already know what he wants to eat: pancakes drizzled in a strawberry syrup and whip cream swirled right on the top. Manon hadn't decided, so she gets a chocolate croisssant as a last resort. She doesn't want to hold up the waitress. Plus, her mind is far too occupied with the conversation to really give much thought to breakfast anyways.

"But what?" He prods.

"Oh… Uh.." She peers down into her cup. It's a small, white teacup with gold lace-like patterns kissing the edges. She makes out the vague shape of her face peering down into the drink. The ripples in the murky tea's surface offer no answers, no easing of her anxiety.

"I think maybe I'm not actually cut out for this. I'm not sure if the others were being polite, or… if they're just that desperate for help, but… Maybe I'm not meant to be a trainer. And if I'm not meant to be a trainer, but my pokemon wants to be trained… is it my responsibility to.. t-to… hand Pecha over to someone else?" Her voice trembles in place of her body, the horrific idea rooting her still.

His eyes narrow slightly. "Is that what you really think the solution is?"

"No." The answer comes out before she can even really consider it.

"How do you know what Pecha wants?" He takes his coffee by the mug's handle, one finger wrapped tight around to bring it up to his face.

"I've grown up with her, how could I not? What kind of question is that?"

"Not everyone is so confident in their bond with their pokemon. I think it's interesting. Since we started speaking this morning, You've cast doubt on…" He pauses to think, "three different things. One of them being yourself, just now. But you've never seemed even the tiniest bit uncertain about how Pecha feels."

"She's my best friend." Manon asserts. "I didn't understand how much she wanted to battle, but she'd never been in a position to tell me. Now I know what she wants… and I think I've let her down."

"I don't think that's it," he chuckles. He slowly sets the mug back down.
