Me looking at UK population pyramid and absolutely bricking it about my future. At current rate of immigration we are completely f****d. There simply aren't enough young people to pay taxes or provide care. If you think the current "boomer" bulge in the pyramid is bad what is coming is far worse.

Article in Metro entitled "Robo Op! AI surgeon trained by ChatGPT takes out gallbladder" that espouses absolutely misleading fiction about what the robot actually can do and how soon it will be doing on a human.

Apropos nothing but... I have been reflecting today on cases from the last few weeks and how long 90 seconds actually is. One fairly reminiscent of the QT. Another supervising a novice where experience and me intervening early denied them the opportunity to work through 3-6 in the QRH.

Same data but different alignment to make the pattern clearer to see.

Why buy / build what meets your needs when you can spend multiple £mil on "shiny new" tech and then desperately look for a problem it solves _after_ buying it on a 10y contract?

The new app (which is in many ways worse) has a much better update process that happens in the background now. My favorite feature though is the warning screen that comes up for _certain_ toxins always makes me smile
