Ok who’s the budding rope artist and who’s the roommate he badgers into letting him practice on them?

A post from user @satyrfoo on twitter that reads “Too scared to practice on bad bitches so ive been making my poor lil homies do it 😭”. Attached to the post are two pictures, each showing a person dressed casually and in various stages of rope bondage.

The weather has turned that perfect range where my arms are cold outside but my core overheats if I put on even a windbreaker. I need to find an Ashitaka cosplayer and figure out how to make these for the 2 weeks a year they’d be relevant

The bookblock shifted a bit without me noticing when I was gluing the cover to one side, so on the _other_ side the page has to fold in on itself a little for the book to close :/ but! It was a good learning experience, which was the whole point!

Side view of a book, showing how the first page was glued too far down the cover, so it folds in on itself a little when the book is closed

My first ever bookbind is done!! With pencil for scale. This is a blank journal done primarily for practice; I’ve been keeping track of fics I’d like to bind for a few years now, but I finally got the spoons and money to start the hobby this year!

Night in with a fic, tea, and ube-flavored Japanese cheesecake (that I may or may not have eaten most of before thinking to take a picture 😅)

Slowly learning to author Blu-ray discs so I can have physical copies of my favorite niche shows. The millennial in me gets a frankly unreasonable amount of satisfaction out of having working disc menus

Can’t really afford nice/custom-sized frames for the prints atm, but I will at some point! I was honestly just stoked my letter seal fit the theme of the fic well so I could put it between them

Video tour of a shelf filled with mementos, tchotchkes, and pieces of art that are important to OP. There is a lighter with the first piece of fanart I ever bought engraved on it (mer!Stiles Stilinksi on one side and mer!Derek Hale on the other, from the TV show Teen Wolf); a daruma doll bought for me by a friend; two prints of art of Yunho and Mingi drawn by Min that formed the basis of the Ele’s ATEEZ fantasy AU fic “Declaration”; a small tree formed of twisted wire studded with various colored stones in place of leaves; a wooden shadowbox containing a 3D papercraft picture of Wei Wuxian and Jiang Cheng from the Chinese webnovel “Mo Dao Zu Shi” (draped with two strings of stone prayer beads in vaguely novel-themed colors); a Lego bust of Boba Fett from Star Wars, a 3D-printed model of a flaming dumpster with the word “Tumblr” on the front; and a small model of a Star Wars spaceship, the Millennium Falcon. A string of flower-shaped fairy lights winds through the objects

I had to rearrange my display shelf to fit the new prints (the MDZS papercut shadowbox by @/yutaan on tumblr used to be the centerpiece), so I’m not 100% satisfied with the balance of it all yet, but I quite like the new additions!

BUT the fabric of my work vest is too thin for the pin spike to fully catch, so over the course of the day the pin sloooowly rotates until it’s completely upside down. By closing all the customers see when they look at me is:

I did NOT know you could use emoji in the titles of songs on Apple Music so I when I saw the puppy paws I was a heartbeat away from demanding answers from Apple like “WHAT does this mean, are you indicating the song is good for walking your dog, WHAT?! I must know!” I didn’t even know 🐾 existed 😭

Screenshot of the partial song list for the album “Make Believe” by Filipino pop group Over October. The song “Kylo 🐾” has a puppy paw emoji in the title, which OP mistook for a signifier added by Apple Music, similar to how it adds a dot next to the name of the most popular songs on an album.

Aw 🥹 I totally would if KQ would allow it! I enjoy beading in general! Much less colorful, but this is a worry/fiddle bead keychain I made during a period of lotus appreciation after falling into The Untamed fandom (modeled by my sister’s soulful-eyed dog, Fezzik 😁)

White bead in the shape of a lotus flower next to two small brown wooden beads

Keychain made of alternating colors of wooden and seed-based beads, terminating in a large white bead carved in the shape of a lotus flower

My sister’s dog Fezzik “modeling” the keychain by staring directly into the camera. He was actually begging for permission to eat the unattended food on the table in front of him

I’ve gotta choose which pins go on the pin strap I got myself for my birthday, and I can’t decide if I should pick a combo that can be interpreted “kpop rpf” right from the start or work up to it lol

I finally found a working streaming link to watch The King's Warden! 1080p Engsub! Tbc I only *downloaded* it from this link, so I don't know how fast it streams. I've also only visited it with an adblocker so I can't speak to what happens if you do so unguarded vidlink.pro/movie/1321179

oh my god... you're so right, the difference in fic counts by ship and character is STARK

screenshot of the AO3 search filter interface in the ATEEZ fandom; the interface lists ships by fic count. At the top is Seonghwa/Hongjoong with 13.4k fics, and at the bottom is San/Seonghwa with 1.2k. There may be other ships that had so few fics that the filter box doesn't list them.

But yeah I had similar brainworms around the characters from the Taiwanese show Oh No! Here Comes Trouble for a while and I'm just picturing me and one other person desperately taking turns punting a fic and a kudos at each other once a year.

I DEVOURED A Memory Called Empire by Arkady Martine and loved it so much I immediately bought the second book in the duology. It’s a political thriller in a sci-fi setting but also a murder mystery but also a critique of empire and it somehow blends all of those together beautifully

The fact that this is the text accompanying an AI companion feature is honestly poetry

Screenshot of a pop-up window in the Zoom mobile app for iOS. The text in the window and on the window’s 2 buttons is a mixture of gibberish symbols; the only readable words are “Zoom Workplace” and “AI Companion.”
