This Yom HaShoah it’s important to remember that Zionism saves Jewish lives.

Being able to attend a @chabad.bsky.social this past #Shabbat was very uplifting, with the level of #antisemitism rising with the left and right.

So folks are blaming Jewish people for antisemitism just like they like to blame Black folks for racism? Make it make sense.🙄

Criticizing Israel isn’t antisemitic, but mocking Jewish fear while defending the statement “Globalize the Intifada” is. Jews are 2% of the U.S. yet face 50% of religious hate crimes. Comparing that to flower prices isn’t nuance, it’s gaslighting a targeted minority while winking at violent hate.

Funny how your one supposed Jewish friend outweighs the 85% of Jews who say antisemitism is a serious problem — or that we’re 2% of the U.S. but face 50%+ of religious hate crimes. Jews aren’t a monolith, but using a token to dismiss the majority calling out hate isn’t nuance. It’s gaslighting.

The Jewish community gets to define what antisemitism is, nobody else. When all major Jewish organizations say “Globalize the Intifada” is antisemitic, perhaps you should listen to them. Jews represent 2% of the US population, yet 68% of all religious hate based attacks in the US are against us.

Oh, you risked it all by declaring that Jewish lives matter this week? How revolutionary. Should I nominate you for a Nobel Peace Prize or just start the foot-kissing immediately? Newsflash: saying Jews are human isn’t a bold stance it’s the bare minimum. Sit down.

Tom Morello calls Israel “terrorism,” defends Kneecap, and smears David Draiman—for opposing child murder. Hamas slaughters kids, uses them as shields, and he’s silent. When Jewish lives don’t matter to you, that’s not activism. That’s antisemitism.

Yet, by denigrating antisemitism, in the context of an article on rising Islamophobia, she illustrated in her snarky comment that antisemitism is a significant issue that is prevalent in our society.

I would also say that Vader/Anakin also deep down was a good person. Anakin’s pain was twisted by the Emporor, who took advantage of a deeply flawed by a good person. Therefore I would say Musk is more like Palpatine than Anakin.

Every hostage was alive on the morning of October 7. Shlomo was murdered during the massacre, and his body was taken to Gaza. Tsachi, Ohad, and Itzik were kidnapped alive. Every hostage Hamas returned in death is a war crime.

The funeral of Shiri, Kfir & Ariel Bibas is a moment of indescribable national and personal pain. In Israel, people are taking to the streets to say goodbye to the murdered hostages who became global symbols of the October 7 Hostage Crisis—and to give the surviving family strength.

Yet, you’re using language and make accusations that convey antisemitism. This type of rhetoric has identified by major jewish organizations that represent the Jewish community by and large. Calling someone derogatory names only further reinforces it. Once we actually began to talk

This person is in complete heart ache because of the conflict. Yet has never until recently met with a Jewish person. It’s these little connections and building out a network of peace advocates that is needed. Instead of armchair activism.

What many activists do not see is there is a lot of behind the scenes actions taking place. Right now I have been have very frank and uncomfortable conversations with a member of the Palestinian community. Because peace is important. We’ve become very close friends but it takes time and dialogue.

Except this conflict is between Muslims and Jews in a disputed land. Do not take offense, you as an outsider have zero skin in the game. I can appreciate the sympathy - and trust me, I hate seeing the destruction in Gaza too. Yet war is brutal. But for anything to change it’s up to Jews and Muslims

Delusional. I have zero place for religious fanaticism. Yet at the same time, there is a constant wellspring of antisemitism taking place too from the pro Palestinian camp. One friend of mine whose family is Palestinian - agrees that hate needs to stop both extremes pose a danger

I think there can be positive efforts once again. But harassment goes both ways, when Palestinians and pro Palestinian protesters use antisemitic imagery in their harassment of Jews. I can say without equivocation that many who live within those communities beyond the green line are

Also one thing to note too, if Israel went back to the then 1948 borders, Jews would be denied access to the Western Wall. In 1948-1967, Jordan blocked all Jewish access to the way and blew up the Hurvah synagogue which stood from 1700 to 1948.

Killed in the sbarro bombing). In principle I agree check points, walls and etc need to come down. But also terrorism, incitement of hate, and etc need to stop too from the Palestinians. Israelis are not going anywhere, neither are Palestinians. But how we get there - I have no clue.

Here’s the thing, after the 1967 war, Israel has made efforts. Beginning with the return of the Sinai to Egypt. However, in 2001, after the second intifada, the check points were needed because of the terrorism (if I were in Jerusalem a few months later for example, I would have most likely been

So President Clinton is lying when he said that Yasser Arafat walked away and squandered an opportunity for broader peace? He literally walked away from a Palestinian state handed to him. And then there after Israel lurched right with the ascension of likud.

Wholesale transfer of 1.6M Palestinians to Egypt and Jordan. Much like the ethnic cleansing of Jews from Arab lands post 1948. I do not support Trump’s plan and think it is reckless. Palestinians in Gaza need to rebuild and stay with the help of the international community.

The definition of genocide according to the UN is : “ the intent to destroy in whole or part, a national, ethnic, racial or religious group”. Israel has repeatedly engaged in cease fires, peace agreements and etc with Palestinians. Where I do find a potential case of ethnic cleansing is the

Do you support two states? I know back 2001, the Taba plan called for that. However, Yasir Arafat flat out refused. Now while this is 20+ years now in the past, I believe that this is the key for ending the conflict.

Bloomy @bloomy75.bsky.social · 13/02/2025
There is no genocide (birthrates, population statistics show otherwise), however I do believe that Israelis living in the territories (Judea, Samaria) need to move. That means settlements. For the larger communities, I believe land swaps should take place (ie Ariel) for land in Israel.

So in your call to have the territory returned, what happens to the current population? Ie jewish? The seething anger you present really isn’t healthy. Also what of my wife’s family, who has their property confiscated by Jordan in 1948? They go back to the 1600’s and they lost their homestead.

Why do you refuse to answer the question? I take it that you believe that every Jewish person in Israel (hasabra) should die. You seek to finish what the Nazis couldn’t. Meanwhile I still believe in a Palestinian state living side by side with a Jewish one. Your heart is filled with so much hate.

So Mr. Sinwar was a fine upstanding person? I am honestly curious. Since he was quoted often in saying that “Israel will never get anything but guns, fire, martyrdom, death, and killing”. Do you believe that Israelis (predominantly Jewish in population) deserve death?
