Like some of these are obvious. For example, the NPC can clear their throat and make eyes towards a tip jar for "Tip the Scales." But like, no amount of me saying "There was a battle here" is gonna give the players the hint unless I say out loud "You can make a check," which kinda defeats the point

Many Worlds Tavern has started doing Daggerheart content and the side by sides of their 5e stuff REALLY shows how much easier it is to parse how things work in DH vs the paragraphs-of-text style for D&D effects and items

The Hole-Y blade as designed in Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition. "You can choose to have this weapon deal Acid damage instead of slashing damage. Once per turn when you successfully deal Acid damage to a target, its AC is lowered by 1. A creatures AC cannot be lowered by more than 4 by this effect."
