The noise Armand makes might be a sob, or a laugh, or maybe just the air punched out of him as Louis starts fucking the bloody cavity between his legs in earnest, doesn't matter. Louis is fucking Armand again and this was always their problem, how easy it is, how little discussion they have ever needed to get exactly what they wanted from each other. It's not a good thing. Louis had slept in Lestat's guest room, in his stupid guest coffin, for weeks, because he was scared of messing it up, because he was scared of them getting their clothes off and not knowing how to treat each other, or not knowing how to treat each other *well*, not knowing how to translate so much feeling into movement. And then here's Armand, stupid crazy Armand with his machete and Louis' hair clippers, stupid crazy Louis with every book in the world having narrowed down to just the one that matters, and somehow it is easy for them. Not because they know how to treat each other well but because they don't. They have never bothered trying to figure it out.
