Having played quite a bit of Microsoft Flight Sim career mode it turns out that, once you're at cruising altitude and have your autopilot set to NAV, the game becomes Microsoft Babysit-The-Radio simulator, where you can experience the thrill of being a receptionist at 20,000 feet.

A memory just resurfaced of getting to drop a hard/cheesy line. On my last day at DWP in Erdington I went to the Subway I was a regular at. The server had come to recognize me and, as ever, said "See you later!". Knowing I'd never return there, I simply responded "No, you won't." and walked away.

Just learned that Ghost of Yotei will not be coming to PC. It made me not want to continue playing Ghost of Tsushima. It's just pointless tribalism that won't increase console sales, it'll just mean lower game unit sales. Sony are in the "utter idiocy" part of the cycle, like during the PS3 era.

This was a response to a - rather cool - suggestion of converting abandoned malls into retirement homes or affordable housing. They don't seem to realize each retail unit has an employee restroom. The demand would reduce, not increase. No new infrastructure needed.

Fun facts: From 2003 to 2010 my hometown of Birmingham hosted a series of Ferris Wheels at Christmas, each of them 180ft tall. In more recent years, including 2025, have been a more modest 130ft tall. The one on the Mall in DC? 110ft.
