I’ve taken a sabbatical from pixels to get out more, focus on photography, and navigate some life changes. And yet I still feel the call of the blocks, so I’ve been playing with some iOS apps to simulate old consoles. This is the test shot, taken on my Nikon Z50II + DX 24/1.7 prime. 🧵

Slowly picking up pixels again. I recall when I colorized/detailed the Gen 1 Kanto map (specifically, RB’s tiles). I’d even started drawing my own tiles by the time I finished—and started building the Sevii Islands from FRLG. This time, I want to do it with all-original tiles drawn in that style.

Weird-ass art direction aside, it IS nice to see that Star Fox as an IP isn’t totally dead in the water and that Nintendo is doing SOMETHING with it. It does seem like this remake (of a remake) is expanding on the source material in a way SF0 was more or less afraid to.
