@delaneyking.bsky.social Terminology question: Is there a name for the kind of visual cue that serves as a puzzle hint but won't be noticed/understood unless the player already knows that they're looking for it? e.g. the red mark in this room from cave story marking the correct jump spot

The player character has entered on the left side, with another exit on the right side; both sides have overhangs which are very easy to clip your head on if you jump too early or late. There is a bold red spot on the ground on a specific point on the left side which coincidentally marks the right position to jump from.

@gabboman.xyz How come my icons aren't consistent? (I want the rat, not the kilwala) I've checked it in a private window and force-reload but no dice It's been fucky for a couple days I think #tech-support
