Defra is gathering evidence that could shape the future policy on gamebird shooting. Have your say! Have you experienced issues such as gamebird collisions, dumped dead birds, illegal traps, suspicious raptor deaths, disturbance, damage or loss of access to land? For info, visit buff.ly/TGjrkrK

October's autumnal magic is here! Look out for: • The brilliant shades of autumn colour • Fungi appearing (admire, don't pick, as some can be poisonous) • Spiders and their webs • Nuts and berries ripening for wildlife Take a moment to slow down and enjoy the natural world 🍂 📸Emma Varley

Not many mushrooms about so far this year. Spotted these inkcaps in the bottom of a ditch that’s usually (in less dryer years) a small stream. 🍄 #FungiFriday #FungiFriends

Clambered thru a wall of brambles to reach this stunning little Stagshorn that was lit up by the sun. A dog walker studiously ignored me as I was hunched over a fallen tree in brambles like a woodland oddball that’s best avoided. 🍄 #FungiFriday #FungiFriends

A vase I made, for roses I grew! #pottersofbluesky #roses #handmade #garden #porcelain #vase #floral
One stem grew five blooms! And this variety is all double petaled, I really love this rosebush. They're much more purple in person than they look here. Too tall a stem for this particular vase, but I wanted to show off that split, into FIVE blooms! This is my first time growing roses outside, and I am just obsessed with how gorgeous they are!

Google finally updated some of its satellite images of Gaza and my god, it's horrific. The entirety of Rafah has been demolished. The majority of Khan Younis is in ruins. Entire towns completely leveled and erased of the map.
