Two of my acquaintances are disappearing too. I always get nervous when they leave. Bad shit usually happens shortly after.

Most these people care more about sounding right than being accurate, IMO, and clearly have an aversion to updating their current knowledge, intuitions, or beliefs.

I think it's easier to just treat them as not serious people. There are plenty of Hikiko's posts where I have to go look things up. I don't think she's speaking in jargon, I just think I have not learned something I should probably already have known, which usually ends up being the case.

Part of the reason we no longer have public executions was because of how people reacted to public executions. Watching your fellow man glory in this is a good way to get moral cowards to finally shut it down.

The ability to do so doesn't change it. There is an implicit difference in forcing the public to do vs it just being available. I think livestreaming it is awful. But if we are going to, I want it piped into every school, church, and arena in the country. We aren't going to livestream it, btw.

Seriously though they make some little gadget that both takes care of this easily but also is fueled by your eternal soul so it remains in the cabinet and you instead idly, every few weeks, try to pluck them out.

Idk, I can think of plenty of authors who I believe would try to handle this privately and then out it publicly if they failed at that. I just don't believe everybody is more wedded to their jobs than to what they believe in.

Yup, though outside of it currently. The persistent creature in the woods encouraged me to abandon my idea of sleeping outside in the cold. Relatively sure it's just something the size of a coyote. Pretty loud, which leads me to believe it's doesn't much care about my existence.

Satellites require the binoculars, would have to go get em. Currently pretty cloudy. Should clear soon and will check!
