Many years ago I had the pleasure of taking a class at IU-Kokomo with Nikki Giovanni and Ginny Fowler on Black American writers. She remembered me and my friend at a conference years later. What an amazing poet, teacher, and person! She touched so many with poetry. #NikkiGiovanni

If you’re a Type I diabetic who uses an insulin pump & the company you work for has UHC, your letter of denial for a higher cost, more effective insulin pump is coming. My son got his letter last week. UHC wants to cover a cheaper one. He will be contacting his endocrinologist for advice this week.
